A cringe SI isekai Pokémon fanfic. I don't plan to make some overpowered protag though, just saw Seras' fanfic and fell in love with it. It inspired me to make my own! I wanted to make a fanfic that goes at my own pace and with one of my favorite Pokémon - Cloyster! Inappropriate jokes not appreciated.

Found this story through Pokemon Trainer Vicky, and I really like how it's started. Shellder is a cool choice for a starter, and I'm looking forward to the eventual rapid-firing Cloyster just destroying all those who oppose it. A funny idea and a potential omake is that instead of a Cloyster, Shellder instead does what the Pokedex entry states for Galarian Slowking, where the Shellder becomes powerful and intelligent enough to control the Slowpoke due to the Galarica Wreath. Really throw Riley for a loop with that.
I do like that, as you said, Riley isn't going to be as crackishly OP as Vicky was starting her journey. I do enjoy the more realistic outlooks on what becoming a Pokemon trainer would entail. Excited to see more slice-of-life stuff as Riley adapts to having a Pokemon, and then which other teammates he'll get when he eventually sets out.
