- Angelica RaizeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a gripping and immersive tale that thrusts readers into a world of political intrigue, supernatural powers, and the struggle for freedom. The author masterfully weaves together elements of fantasy and dystopia, creating a richly detailed setting that feels both familiar and unique.
One of the standout features of the novel is its well-developed characters. From the determined and resilient protagonist, Max, to the complex and morally ambiguous Nash, each character feels distinct and fully realized. Their relationships and interactions drive the plot forward, adding depth and complexity to the story.
The world-building is also exceptional. The author paints a vivid picture of a society where ancient traditions go against modern technology. The details of the setting are brought to life through evocative descriptions and immersive storytelling.
The plot is fast-paced and vary - from thrilling battle scenes to tense political negotiations. There is never a dull moment and you always have something to be entertained. The novel expertly balances action, suspense, and character development, making for a compelling read from start to finish.
Overall, even if I come from a review swap and this is not my genre, this is something that is clearly written from someone who knows how to craft a tale that can compel. I highly recommend ya'll to give it a chance.
-The writer of strasbourg - DweiaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Let me start by saying that his book had me hooked from the first page. The action kicks off right away, and the characters are relatable, and immeediately piqued my interest - Max especially.
Speaking of Max - the main character, is instantly interesting and someone you root for from the start. The story dives straight into the action, so there's no waiting around. The world-building is awesome, mixing fantasy and sci-fi in a way that's super interesting. The story drops little hints and questions that keep you wanting more.
The writing - It's understandable, it's good. I found no grammatical mistakes, no weird, immersion-breaking word choices. The prose is relatively simple, so it's easy to follow along, but beauitful nontheless. The pace of the story is also deliberate, and carefully crafted. There are no moments of lull. Not a single time I thought things should happen slower or faster.
Overall, I love this book. It's well written, carefully edited, has a well crafted world and unique and interesting characters. Max is a very fun and interesting character to follow, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her story. Anyone who likes a mix of fantasy and science fiction should definitely give this a try! - FlokistarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Just as the title said, I really enjoyed the story and will keep reading it mostly because the way it was written.
Style: the story written in the first person pov which wasn't exactly my favorite pov as I'm more into third pov, but the author still managed to keep me interested chapter after chapter. The prose is relatively simple, so it's easy to follow along, but good. The pace of the story is also deliberate, and carefully crafted.
Story: the blurb said it all, the story revolve around Max seeking to unseal her power and get some revenge. The world building is good as the author has a way with words and managed to paint vivid images of the world.
Characters: most of them had their own personality and motives, but the most notable was of course the mc. She makes you root for her success and is likable even though her emotions get in the way sometimes. She also can be manipulative when needed.
Grammar: I haven't spotted any glaring issues. The author took his time crafting this story.
Overall, I enjoy this story and will likely continue reading if nothing happened. The only complain I have is the chapters are too short. Try making them but longer.

The supporting characters are equally well-developed, adding depth and complexity to the plot. Each character feels distinct and fully realized, driving the story forward with their unique motivations and desires.
In conclusion, Lindsay French just did it again!!
Eclipse: Quantum Demon is a must-read for fans of fantasy and science fiction alike. Lindsay French's skillful storytelling, intricate world-building, and compelling characters make this novel a standout in the genre. Readers will be eagerly awaiting the next installment in Max's gripping journey. - ikdahlRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Style:
This is an author who knows what they are doing. You can see it from the first paragraphs: Two sentences to establish: a clear destination, that the protagonist used to wear armor and wield weapons, but now they are not, and that they are a captive in a cold place.
And it continues from there. Through the first chapter, the writing is heavy with content, and I am impressed--and not a little jealous--of how well the author is able to set up the world and give some hints about what is to come in only a few lines of writing.
The writing itself is easy to read, but the prose is advanced. The author has obviously spent time refining the phrases and words, and it has resulted in a style that is clean, communicates efficiently, and most of all: Fun to read.
Story:
The story is engaging from the beginning, and as noted the prose outlines goals, destinations and objectives early and clearly. The reader gets invested in what is promising to be a page-turning conflict. There is something about the story that hints at a narrative pot that is very carefully planned out for a long time.
Grammar:
I couldn't find a single spelling or grammar mistake, and the author clearly wields language with a great deal of skill.
Character:
I love how we instantly gets close with the main protagonist. Interestingly, it is often first person POVs that take the longest to really establish the MC, but not so in this case. We get to know them immediately, and as the story goes on we get to know them even better.
The side characters also stand out as individual people, not just cut offs that are there to provide a scene for the MC to do their thing. I like seeing other people in the story with their own motivations and desires, and that is clearly present here. - morphiwritesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall - I was captivated by this story from the very first page. It thrusts you into the action immediately, introducing real and relatable characters.
Style - The author writes with excellent prose that is akin to larger traditionally published novels. Descriptions are varied and vivid, locations seem real and grounded. Not overly flowery langauge or distracting from the characters or plot.
Story - The narrative behind the story seems well planned and executed. You can feel the passion the author has for this work as it bleeds through the pages. Action packed and wasting no time to blend the intrigue with action, this is a story that you can really enjoy right from the start with little down time.
Grammar - No issues with grammar here. This author is quite skilled or spends a lot of time in editing.
Character - The main character is both engaging and easy to root for. You are thrust into the world our character lives in with both depth that has been explained and hints at depth that will be explained. The characters feel real, conversation flows well. I really enjoyed this MC and I am excited to follow along with them as the story progresses.
Would recommend reading this story and immersing yourself in a beautiful world. - allycat47Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I loved this read right from page one, because it launches into the action, the characters are relatable and likable—with a side of fantasy badassery—and the writing is absolutely excellent. It’s clearly been edited and thought out, and the characters and the world are well developed.
Max is an immediately interesting and likable character you can't help but root for right from the get-go. The chapter opens right into the action, so you’re hooked right from page one. The world and worldbuilding draw you in with unique concepts and ideas, and an interesting blend of fantasy and sci-fi. The story itself lays little bits of intrigue—clues and questions you want answers to—to hook you in right away.
The prose is absolutely beautiful, with almost no grammatical errors or typos, and very easy to read. This elegant writing clearly illustrates the scene and emotion without weighing down the story or tangling meaning up in arcane words.
The story moves quickly right from the off, so you’re pulled into the action and intrigue from page one. No waiting around for something to happen here!
To make a long story short, it’s a fast-paced action-packed story with interesting premise, outstanding characters, beautiful writing, unique worldbuilding, and intriguing story. - TheJournalistRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Immersive, engaging, and thoroughly captivating. This great story beautifully blends elements of fantasy and science fiction to deliver a thrilling narrative that hooks you from the very first page. In a world brimming with political intrigue, supernatural powers, and the relentless pursuits of those living within, it weaves a compelling journey that one can't help but be lost in.
The great grammar of the author also plays a very important in allowing the reader to go through a smooth reading experience without anything that would break immersion. Vivid descriptions, the right words, and a good handle of storytelling makes us paint the perfect picture in our minds. Good prose!
At the heart of the story, Max, the protagonist is a compelling and relatable MC whose unwavering determination and clear sense of purpose drives the whole narrative forward as she navigates the treacherous landscape filled with both danger and intrigue. The supporting characters are equally impressive, each one seems fleshed out and has their own depth and complexity that adds another layer of the plot. From Nash to the prophet, everyone seems realized and complete humans on their own right.
Overall, I had a lot of fun reading and getting lost in the world created by our Lindsay French here, so I would recommend! - milkman7121Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story starts slow enough it is still starting. As of writing this, some thirty chapters in, the main gimmick of the series has yet to unveil itself. My hesitance to critique an incomplete story is all that prevents this review from being much lower. I pity those who have already waited two weeks for the prologue to end. The work is good, so far, with unassailable grammar (barring the odd spelling mistake) and decent enough character work, brought down somewhat by the lagging pace. In a further two weeks or so, this will either take its rightful place near the top of the charts, or leave its readers mourning lost potential. Unless you want to wait with us, I’d suggest you check back then.
