The Essence of Illusion (Cultivation)

Description
Kayne Hazard was an average guy. He had a repetitive job stacking shelves, a boring life with few real friends, and no aspirations other than getting through the day.
After failing to play hero to a damsel in distress that involved a brick and questionable life choices, he found himself transported to a world full of martial arts and magic.
Finally, he would get the chance to live a life that fate had robbed him of once already and possibly learn magic in the process.
Things might have been looking up for him if not for minor details, like being haunted by a ghost with strange eyes or the fact he was now a baby with zero bladder control.

This book is probably one of my favorites at the moment. At the start of the book I was quite happy to see that we see our Main Character's (previously Kayne before Reincarnation) previous life since I usually don't see reincarnation stories focusing much on the previous life at all, just quickly hitting them with various vehicles to get to the main story ASAP. Thankfully, we get to see what kind of guy our Main Character was before his reincarnation and the start of the main story.
The prologue (Main Character's previous life and introduction) is the first three chapters and are rather good in my opinion, no spelling mistakes that I personally found, and any spelling mistakes in the future are quickly fixed when they're pointed out by the readers. Even in the far earlier chapters. Even if spelling or grammar mistakes are still there the Author quickly fixes them when shown them by the readers in the comments.
The story is very good, though we do spend a bit of time with the MC as a Baby, then a toddler. The Author manages to still make the story interesting and fun without jumping straight to adulthood or teenage main character after one or two chapters with baby/toddler MC.
The cultivation stuff and other things about how this world works is very cool, and doesn't lose me as easily as other stories like this one. The Main character has an interesting combination of 'Affinities' and manages to work his way through making his own cultivation technique and becoming stronger after being able to form his core.
The Main Character, as can be assumed by the title, uses illusions quite a bit and has them as a large part of how he fights and how he uses his illusions is quite smart. Speaking of the fights, they're well written and fun to read, just like the other parts of this Novel.
In short, I especially recommend reading this if you like Xianxia and are tired of being a bit of a trash panda and searching through the endless bins. The author is pr - Tarrying_soulRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Other than some gripes like:
The way he starts talking in full sentences and his parents just accept it like it's normal.
The improper use of illusions(very minor annoyance).
The seemingly arbitrary assignment of character names, with one possessing a Chinese name while another a Greek- somewhat jarring, but ignorable.
It's very GOOD!
I just LOVE the concept behind Mc's core.
It's a great read! I eagerly await book-2 - EdLincolnRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Reviewing as of Chapter 13.
Fun Reincarnated as a Child Xianxia involving a Romanesque world with a unique Isekai justification. Hints at an interesting magic system, but still early. Spends more time than most establishing the character than most in the genre. Some typos. Looks sort of like it is trying to do all the Generic fantasy Set Ups at once.
