Description

(Please note, while I am trying to upload 4 chapters a week, there will be days I miss occasionally. I will always catch up on those chapters as soon as I can.)

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to wake up and find yourself in a strange place that hates your very being?

Well, neither did Harper. Trapped, confused, and doing all it takes to survive, Harper struggles---and fails---to survive in this magic forest of death, doom, and anti-human sentiments of destruction.

Read along as Harper struggles tooth, limb, and literal godforsaken life to survive and carve out a piece of the strange jungle as his home away from home.

Dying for Another Chance opens with the main character waking up in a fridge, Indiana Jones style, and being told that he's in prison for threatening the cosmos.  If only he could remember what he did.
Harper's a bit of an interesting character.  He's definitely not the small-town American dude he seems to think he is—he's holding onto a painful secret, for one, and we also get hints of something darker underneath.  I expect his true nature will eventually emerge, but for now all we have are guesses.  There aren't much in the way of secondary characters at this point, but as the world starts to open up, we're encountering some promising characters with agendas of their own.
The setting is brutal and icky and viscerally described.  I would not want to live there.  It is a world of maiming, chemical burns, compound fractures, dismemberment, exsanguination, and what scientists might label "high-velocity redistribution of component tissues."  The fact that the prison world's inhabitants get to respawn seems less like an advantage and more like torture.
If you'd like to read about literal bloody-minded determination against punishing odds, this is a story for you.
Addendum in order to meet review guidelines: here's an obligatory note that the story has grammar.

So far this story has an interesting premise that's worked well at grabbing and holding my attention thus far. It's a bit of a slow start, but as it gets going Harper's journey throughout this prison planet and grinding of powers while dealing with hostilities at every turn provides a fun read that I would recommend to those who enjoy LitRPG.

Not actual spoilers I'm just allergic to word walls
Brief plot summary from my perspective
Here on the prison planet of venalli are the most dangerous people the universe has to offer. Each one a danger to the cosmos itself. Each plucked from their lives to be rehabillitated. The catch? They've been plucked before they've actually become any threat at all. Here we meet harper. Who aside from being a bit of a vindictive ass with a guilty concious, has no true idea why he's here. Just like everyone else. Now he must learn to use the powers found scattered throughout the deadly wilderness, get through the challenges set by the wardens of venalli, and figure out exactly what "rehabilitation" means. To top it all off, despite the planet never letting anyone trully die, he only gets one chance.
    Thoughts so far.
Takes a sec to really get started but it is pretty interesting once it kicks off. It has a bit of mystery, some fun looking powers, and the promise of a lot of fights. I also really liked the character of the first warden and his area in general and look forward to seeing his peers.

We're following a constantly respawning MC as he gamelits himself through "hell" with an increasing number of spinning plates surrounding a number of mysteries.
The fight scenes are well done, and the overall pacing is chugging along nicely.
My biggest complaint is the MC seems a bit inconsistent in his competency. I'm sure this plays into the aforementioned mysteries, but its a little odd.
My biggest worry is that the setup for a mystery is significantly easier than the resolution. Fingers crossed Author can land this plane, because I need to read more!

Let me begin saying that I normally don't give bad reviews either I give a good review or I don't give a review at all that's it, now this novel is kind of fun okay the reason why is because the story is actually pretty good everything about it is pretty interesting it's a new way to see things there is originality in it I like it, the only issue is the protagonist it's kind of a dick and it's not like there are  other characters in other novels where the protagonists are a**holes and if you consider the situation he is in right now you could understand a little bit the way he's acting but still it's like he is too s***** if at least you start in the description informing us even at least in a subtle way how he's not really a good person you could like save the reader some wasted Goodwill towards him.
