Every time he dies, Ethan Hill gains a little more power.
Earth was chosen for Integration, but Ethan knows from the second his Trial begins that the Integration is a lie. These creatures giving Earth the 'honor' of access to their Interface want something from Earth - he just doesn't know what.
Now he's trapped on an alien planet and lost in a time loop, fighting for strength and for his own humanity.
One thing's for sure: He'll die as many times as it takes to tear it all down.

- Lolzold4Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The idea of being stuck in a time loop isn't a new one. Normally the stakes are quite low (because dying only means you get to start over), but this story (in only its opening few chapters) establishes multiple ways of keeping the idea fresh and compelling.
Style: LitRPG mechanics of sories fall on a spectrum. On one hand we have stories that contain tables just for the sake of seeing the numbers go up (which I like) and on the other we have stories with complex mathemathical underpinnings that sometimes feel too hard to understand (but that I also like). This story lands itself in the perfect middle. Its LitRPG mechanics are easy to understand and are surprisingly relevant. The feeling of rolling for skills/stats also helps.
The overall style is well thought out. The story doesn't get bogged down with long expositions or too much emotional distance from the MC.
Grammar: No noticable spelling errors or funny sentence structures. The words flow smoothly.
Story: It's still in the initial swings but has great premise and room to expand that stories sometimes lack. It still has the generic end goal (live/escape the loop) but the intermediary goals come naturaly and don't feel forced.
Characters: Characters feel like they have their own stories to tell and they feel real. Author found a way that helps in fleshing out the characters and I feel like there is only room to grow. Low number of cast members for now, but doesn't feel empty like time loop stories often do.
Overall a great read that I'd recommend to anyone that likes a lawful good MC trying his best out of a shitty situation. - OmniextRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0From the get go, the story is paced nicely, prose is good, and the MC is- to me at least- likable. In addition to great writing, it also has a more unique take on stat systems.
Instead of the usual stat numbers, Ethan has stat credits that he can bank for skills relating to a certain stat. It's refreshing. I've only seen a few of those.
The time looping is used nicely too, so far. It's nice to see a good one after I read a less well done a while ago. - PakkoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I found this story first on the progressionfantasy reddit and it first caught my eye quite literally with the great cover. From there i started reading and did not stop until i had caught up with the most recent chapter posted.
The premise is simple and well set up. It is clear after a chapter or three what the goals of Ethan are, what he must do to escape, and how he is able to level up and grow stronger within the loop. My one worry would be how to keep things interesting for the time loop and introduce new things. While the timeloop could go on for 100 chapters I would hope that there would be time skip(s) to let Ethan be reintroduced to Earth sooner rather than later. Other than that it has been very enjoyable. His current path of progression is engaging and interesting.
The style and grammar were great. I had no issues with how things were written. If you are reading this review before reading this story then I would have to say check this story out. It is definetely be worth your time. The characters are good so far and so is the story. - AtrakinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The novel's off to a great start. There's not a lot I can go off of quite yet, seeing as there are only 9 chapters right now, but I can tell this could be the start of something great.
The worldbuilding seems solid, the system seems well thought-out. As far as I can tell, the style is good and there's nothing wrong with the grammar. There's not much to say on story or characters, though, since the novel's barely beginning.
Maybe in a few weeks to a few months I can say more, but, for now, all I can say is that this has a good deal of potential, and that I hope it pans out well. - Indigo6Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fun LitRPG with time loop shenanigans. Includes both a typical "system" form of magic as well as a more soft magic centered around growing as a person and proving a definition of your identity.
It's a power fantasy that doesn't go too over the top. MC gets knocked down often and struggles to get back up. No boon of power isn't earned. - LastEmeraldRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I really like this, especially the more depths of trying to figure out the magic system of "Firmament." It is really well made and i would highly suggest reading this no matter what you are into, whether into OP Protagonist or into more of the story parts of stories, there is enough for all types of people.
Style: While i really like the style its not a 5 for me, as it is a slight bit slow currently at showing you Ethan's current status, but other than that it is still really good!!!
Story: I FUCKING LOVE THE STORY, INCLUDING FIRMAMENT AND TIME LOOP!!! But now without yelling it is really cool, wondering how the time loop will affect Ethan's friends and Integrators.
Grammar: As good as it could be, no problems with it, usually no spelling mistakes which even i would do when writing (i dont usually post things).👍
Characters: I love the characters, including the main character, but even with 77 chapters so far we dont know much about the characters backgrounds too much, but its still all well done, everyone has their own distinct personality, even if they are similar.
Overall: Fucking amazing, love it, one of my favourites on this site, although i am sort-of a lurker so i don't usually get what comments are saying lmao. - Joshmm89Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Love the loop genre and this is a fun addition. Excited to see where it goes. The magic/skill system is interesting. Wish there was a little more action happening. I'm at about chapter 20 and starting to get tired of the start on each loop. Worth the read so far though.
- Sir Henry Gooblesquibbins GochRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I usually dont like respawn time loop type stories because I think it takes away from the stakes and danger of the story because after all how can i take any point of conflict in the story seriously if I know the MC can just try again? BUT die, respawn repeat takes this goofy ahh genre and spins a story chock full of violence tragedy and excitment, one full with high stakes and brutal conflict.
Most of the time I find it useless when a story seemingly reinvents the wheel of litrpgs by completely overhauling the system for no reason other than to be inventive but once again die respawn repeat does this in a way thats really creative and more importantly SERVES A PURPOSE, its a system that exists with the world around it in mind not the other way around as most stories do.
It should be clear by now considering what i wrote above but once again die, respawn repeat has an excellent story structure and plot, though we need more chapters out to consolidate this opinion, the character is refreshing real and someone I want to root for and of course the grammar is pretty good which should be the case most of the time, it doesn't matter if your story is the best novel under the heavens if you have lots of spelling mistakes and bad grammar your story wont pop off.
The style is really good too, the writer is clearly experienced in writing fiction as they can fluently weave sentence structures, word choice and writing techniques together to create a beautiful story - sundrawnshadowRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0There is not much to say rather professionally written story seems a bit stale but that's kind of going to happen in time loops until you move past a certain point in the book
I personally feel that the author is intentionally or not picking choices for skill the like that I would and likely many others would as well the amount of time I was like based on what we have this one would be best is honestly astounding. in short a good read or a time waster if the next book keeps pace it will be a worth while series to read - ArkyteRoyal Road★ 0.5There is no personality to the main character. The main character makes no sense in his actions of thoughts. Even worse, the story is in first person view, so all those incongruences are shoved right into your face.
Not even mentioning how the first chapter is composed entirely of system info dump. And the author describes a place, then immediately adds a system message about the same previously described place. It feels like reading something like:
After walking trough the forest we finally reached a grotto.
[System: You have reached a grotto]
”Hey, there is a grotto over there,” said random side character.
I have been misled by the amount of positive reviews.
