DEATHMARK

By ToshiroOne

In the spring of 2019, strange disappearances began sweeping through Japan. One by one, people vanished without a trace, and those who remained instantly forgot they had ever existed. But for some unknown reason, Yuki Ayano retained her memories.

Over time, she awakened a powerful magic ability. It wasn’t a gift by any stretch of the imagination. It was a curse. A curse that tore through her soul like a plague, twisting her thoughts until she could no longer recognize herself.

It reached the point where even her allies began to fear her. They kept their distance, knowing that when Yuki Ayano pointed her finger, no one could be certain who she was aiming at.

For now I read the first chapter. I like how quickly eerie it gets and how it leaves the readers wondering what exactly happened. You write it very well in a way I want to go to the next chapter. Like why were the parents sick? How sick were they, they can't even call someone? Or how old Yuki is, I bet she is a high school student age?
Anyways! I love how the mystery/questions keeps being layered on top of each other. After slowly revealing what happened to the parents, there is more of the reveal about Yuki abandoning her parents, and on top of that the weird glass that fell and shattered in the room. The dolls. Just everything to keep me on edge! It's done so well. Not to mention the mysterious or "strange" therapist, which only leaves me with more questions and wonders.
