Overall score: 3.5/5. I feel the author wrote each chapter in a single train of thought, which does lead to a decent flow, but with it, it also feels like nothing much happened over the past five chapters.
Style score: 4/5. Although there were bits where I felt the descriptions took away from the story more than adding to it, in general the writing style was relatively easy to understand and communicated the story in a decent way.
Story score: 3/5. This is actually what I think is one of the weaker parts of the novel. As mentioned before, not much actually happens in the story. I am greeted with many technical terms related to the world, but with it, there isn't really depth where I can understand their relation to the story itself, making the overall plot so far a bit bland.
Grammar score: 4/5. There are some pretty clear but minor grammatical mistakes that doesn't distract the story too much. Overall it's pretty good though. Not much to say there.
Character score: 3/5. Although I feel the personality of Nathaniel is well-established over the five chapters, the lack of mention of him in the very first chapter makes it feel like it's a prologue...? There isn't too much mention of other characters in the story so far, most of them serving as a way to introduce another facet of Nathaniel's character.
Conclusion: In five chapters, I can't really say too much about the story. It's definitely not bad, but I think a couple of edits can help it in the long run. I feel there is a lot going on, but at the same time, not much stuff actually happens. Maybe all of this is setting up for future plot points and character development, but in a world where patience isn't really a strength in most individuals (sadly, me included), it can get difficult to continue onwards. However, I do encourage people to keep reading onwards as it's not like there's no movement; it's just slower than your average webnovel.
