Definitely deserves a read! Started this book because of the interesting and unique title, and I was not disappointed as the world and story crafted by the author has been great so far! It's set in a medieval fantasy world with multiple races and magic based on the elements! Our protagonist is a light mage, the most valued element due to the fog, but has been forced to hide it his whole life! The characters are believable and have depth to them, kids actually act like kids, desperate people make hard and terrible choices and there's holier than thou characters who will forgive everything. The story so far has been seeped in mystery, we know small bits of information but not how they are connected or their importance and I love to be kept guessing. I still don't know who's good and who's bad, there's an idea but everyone could be lying for their own gain and it's great. There is tension between races and religions that is done very well and I'm looking forward to how that pans out in the future as well as seeing more of the empire and it's culture that the MC is currently in. The grammar is great, no overall problems and reads smoothly.
