Description
Rhys is an Artificer who has always dreamed of owning a Cloudship and sailing out beyond his home spire. An opportunity dropped into his lap to do just that, but the consequences of his choice might very well be too much for him to deal with.
Fantasy with some light litrpg elements, trading and growing the ship. Some slice of life elements as Rhys learns the ropes of being a Cloudship captain.
Artwork is by Bogdan - https://www.artstation.com/bogdanantoci - I can't recommend him highly enough.

- Flintlock01Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love this story, honestly this is in my top ten favorite fictions. The way you have built up suspense and given your work a mysterious people to lurk in the background really tickles my fancy. I do wish that there were more chapters, but that's just me being impatient not an actual complaint. Keep up the good work!
- JcW SweRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First of all, I truly enjoy this story! I guess I need to shop around for more stories about sky ships, sorry I mean cloud ships. :)
Good grammar, interesting world building and likeable characters. It's about a young, and rather social clueless artificer that has saved up to be able to buy his own cloud ship. With ownership of his first cloudship in hand, he goes off adventuring.
Pacing is good and the mix of adventure, trading, tech details about artificing etc. makes this a really good story.
BUT! The economics of it all confuses me a bit. I saw the author replied on my comment on chapter 3 and somewhat cleared it up a bit. But they should really think about it more (imo), as trade is such a large part of the novel. I was going to set the score as 4 because of it, but I'm setting a 5 as the author keeps an open mind about possible improvements and changes.
Other than that, thank you for a great story so far. Will be fun to follow Rhys in his adventures in the clouds! :) - Mister BillRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a very good start by an author whose works I already like. It's light on the stats so far (not terribly so) and its unique elements are quite good. Already a little tension and no errors yet.
His other book is also well written so I'm confident enough to leave a review this early. Give it a shot! It's worth it. - NorthSeaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An upgradeable ship with an eldrich AI and a very interesting Captain, what more can I ask for. Even though there aren’t many chapters yet its polished.
Fifty words fifty words

Fifty words, are we there yet, we must be - WORKACCRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the *new*. The world is often unkind to new stories, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary story from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the world and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine world building is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for low followers and low chapter stories on Royal Road. But I realize, only now do I truly understand what it means to find a gem in the rough. Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great art *can* come from *anywhere*. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius author Irae153, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest writer on royalroad. I will be returning to Cloud Sailor soon, hungry for more.
In all seriousness I am enjoying the story so far. The explots of captain Hunt and his ship the Endeavour really scartch that fantsy sailing itch i have been having for a long time. Its slow right now but I fell we can chalk that up to it being a new story. Cant wait for more. Like i mean it. I want like a massive 50 chapter dump NOW.
