Description
Soren woke up 8,000 years in the future with the powers of a god. They’re unstable, linked to his emotions, and he’s in fight or flight. Staying calm is essential, but he soon realizes that he shares a mysterious mental link with a hot-tempered alien matriarch. He thinks she's incredibly beautiful, but she wants him dead. She struggles with her own attraction to him—because he’s the reason her planet is falling into the sun. And he’s the only one who can stop it. Joined by a living legend, a synthetic little sister, and a whole squad of hard-fighting, hard-loving warriors, Soren must forge new connections after losing everything he loved.Saving the world is just the first step. Falling for the woman will be the real battle. Because in a galaxy of aliens and matriarchs, holding on to your humanity means riding the blurry line between man and monster. This story contains mature themes, explicit (but not constant) sexual content, and graphic violence. It is not suitable for readers under the age of 18. What to Expect: - A very slow-burn, enemies to friends to lovers romance.- An epic, multi-book space opera with a large found family and multiple POVs.- A powerful but emotionally vulnerable protagonist with chaotic powers he struggles to control.- Strong, capable, and sometimes morally gray women.- High stakes, cosmic threats, and detailed world-building. What NOT to Expect: - Harem- LitRPG/System elements- Lone wolf power fantasy- A story that is only about romance

- Vel WovenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Having read the old version of the Cradles of Gravity, I'm glad to see the book's relaunch. In this new version, the story and main plot stays the same, but the prose is tighter, cleaner, and the character voices are clearer and more confident.
Soren remains at the center of the story. Aurania's relationship with him feels more central now, with the subplots and other POVs like Tamiyo's feeding more clearly into the central plot, and that is saving Nox.
This book appears off to a strong start, and as a fellow author I wish it the best. - Argent OmbresRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The book is plain old awesome. So far, I haven't encountered any grammar problems. It's so well written and in such a way that it never gets old. No repetitive ideas or sentence structures. The ideas flow into each other so well that you just get carried away.
And now my main point. The characters. To say the least, I'm in awe. There is no clumsy attempt at characterization. The characters are so out there that just at the mention of their names, I can feel the tone of their voice. I can feel their mood. I can visualize their express, fuck I can even anticipate how different characters would react to different situations. Don't take this to mean the story is generic and predictable though, I swear you'll be surprised. All in all, I highly recommend 😁😁😁 - Ashen1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The characters are amazingly done. You feel alongside them and experience all the emotions that they do, you can feel their determination and root for them. You can feel their fear and hope with them. You can feel their sadness and well, for me, cry with them. You never get bored of the interactions. Nothing generic, I swear.
Then the plot, damn. Say the plot just pulls you in and you can't even get away; you won't even want to get away. The flow of events, the shift of perspectives, the intentions and motivations behind each and every action and interactions. The subtle dynamics and underlying emotions.
It's just enrapturing.
If you've taken your time to read this review, don't hesitate any longer, dive in with me 😁😁😁 - De ScarzardRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A masterpiece. Dear friend, if you took a pause to check this book out, take a longer pause and try it out. I promise you won't be disappointed. The characters are so alive that you just can't help but be drawn in. Each is explored so well that even the thought of any of them getting hurt or being wronged is enough to ignite a feeling of righteous fury in me.
Seriously though, I'm a bit grumpy since I pulled an all nighter binging it. Tbh, it's 6.30 am in my timeline as I write this review and I locked in at 7.00 pm yesterday. I didn't even take a break, I swear 😜😜 It's just that addictive. - WhoAmI1324Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is well paced, the locales never feel boring, the characters feel real, and you even get a few Futurama references thrown in for flavor. What's not to love?I've been straight binging this story since I found it - lucky for me the author posts multiple times a day so I'm never going long without my fix 🤤Oh, and if the author sees this, I'm still waiting for the ANGRY DOME. 😂
- Lurker LuuuurkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly I've been taken off gaurd. I hadn't expected this to be a story that just so happened to include some of my favorite... Preferences. This. Is story and characters first. 🤨 Actual characters. Get your- ...you know what nevermind. Stupid brain.
Point is other things just make the good better.
The... titular species, has an origin that is one of... making the best of things. If you read between the lines. This story has just the right amount of soul and sass.
And if the combat stays consistent with how it's affected the characters (and myself) so far. I might have to take my IRL policy of fighting into preference. Only when necessary. - Saturn Gei GeiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Gave the old version of this book a look, it was okay. Then the new version popped up
I can tell this is very much that same story, but this time delivered more cleanly and more competently. Prose wise, everything is cleaner and punchier now, There's also the occasional witty after-chapter comments by the author which are nice
I appreciate that this is a multi-POV story that does not revolve around THE seemingly conventional powerful male protag. In fact, I find myself liking Soren because instead of some edgy teenager, you get an actual grown adult with his own moral compass, and the "harem-like" exterior let's call it that---is not harem. In fact, it is an ensemble of many female characters who Soren get to meet and work together with
One thing I notice is a new POV being added (Ben). This I suspect is the antagonist-insider guy, so probably like Ben in Star Wars? Unsure. But he seems super interesting
The core cast women like Aurania and Tamiyo are there, but Tamiyo's given a pretty cool analytics role this time, and there's these tiny snippets of lore pages sneaked in between chapters
I also appreciate that the main narrative is moving forward, the prose is punchy as said before, but there's still moments of introspection, so the 'slic e of life' quality still holds up
Alright, keeping this on my list. Let's watch this thing go on trending! - Severin DaSoulsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Thank you for sharing your vision with us. I have finished 3 books and I am starting number 4. Your world building is solid, the characters live and breathe for me because they are so relatable, and it is refreshing that there are adult scenes included. The fact that the adult scenes are written in such a way as to be skippable, allows the reader to choose the level of exposure and was an interesting option.
I hope that the story continues to completion, if for no other reason, than the fact that poor Soren can experience release and completion. - Sticky BasketRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've been following this story for a while on Patreon but when the author mentioned the relaunch, I was more than happy to make a Royal Road account and write up a review.I love that this is NOT some short story, single POV 1 book novel. Seriously, Game of Thrones didn't do that and, for all it's flaws, it's undeniably popular. If you ask George Lucas who the main character of Star Wars is, he'll say Anakin Skywalker, despite that name only appearing once in the original trilogy. To tell a truly amazing story of this scale, you have to be able to see from more than just one person's POV.The author has mentioned that this story has been in his head for over 15 years, and what that has resulted in is a giant love letter to all the various media that has inspired it. Star Wars and Mass Effect are definitely the two biggest influences, but then you get this whole squad of strong, badass women supporting the main character, and they all get sent to Space RDR2 in the third book. There's cinematic, action packed, edge of your seat fights with cliff hangers that leave you starving for more. There's extremely wholesome slice-of-life in the downtime between missions. And there's emotional trauma tearing your heart out, then a huge family of deep characters wrapping their arms around you and telling you that everything will be alright. There's no single defining moment for the main character, but rather a progression of self development that doesn't feel forced. You can really look at everything that happened and put together parts of the story that the author has precisely placed certain information in specific chapters.5 books in and the central storyline is only like a third of the way done, but the author does a fantastic job creating juicy, confrontational moments to help you experience the journey alongside these characters. For example, the dynamic of "enemies-to-something-more" is a something I don't see a lot of, or at least done well. Being Native American, being empat
- Walter KrunkiteRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story concept is interesting and the characters are thoroughly fleshed out, but I can't get past the MMC.This guy is supposed to be a literal newly born God, yet he is so far presented as this "good boy" who got caught doing something bad by his "mothers". It is very difficult not to actively despise him. I'm only on 1-14 at the time of this review, so hopefully he gets less pathetic.Edit: Bumping score up because the author seems nice, and besides my hang-up with the MMC, the story is good.
