Description
An ancient war severed Solan’s ties to life. His soul lay dormant for centuries.
Awakening from the ashes, Solan looks out at his eradicated homeland. He is completely lost, with no memory of anything or anyone. Soaring with grand wings on his back, he explores this wasteland. With each abandoned island he visits, he is slowly pulled towards something ominous, dangerous, and alien. Upon arriving at this place, he finds nothing but a shining light in the form of a flower. A flower no one should dare touch. A grave meant to be left alone, not something to be tampered with. The one guarding this grave found his actions unforgivable...
His wings were severed clean from his body, for he flew too close to the sun.
Banished from his birthplace and stripped of his sovereignty, Solan is forced to carry on, both his body and surroundings unfamiliar. He vows to find out what happened to his homeland and destroy whatever it was that robbed him of the skies.
His descent spells certain doom. His raw, untamed strength throws off the balance of essence throughout the world, attracting those who seek to take his power for their own.
The limitless power he is unaware he possesses:His Charred Soul.

- Romaryo_windlyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The beginning has a lot of potential i don't like reading the female lead story I'm no sexist but to be clear i found that men writing a female lead story has the possibility to write a decent book than a woman not saying women can't but from my experience the success isn't guaranteed.
I love to start with the world building but the protagonist sarah take my interest.
The protagonist sarah have a complicated relationship with her past that eny one with sharp eyes can detect in the first chapters after the chapters go you will see her trauma her pain the description of her deep self caught me servel times
As for the side characters every character have its time to shine i felt like I'm reading a professional book every character was put in for a reason every moment was for a reason no character was there just for the plot every character is alive and vivid
That's i will say the sexuality of the author isn't the problem the problem is the love and the interest that author wrote and put in his book
As for the world building it was well presented the ranking the magic was well introduced not dumped but introduced in steps
I'm no English speaker so i read often after translate but this was the first i read it all in English i didn't find a problem understand or getting the meaning a simple English with a deep meaning
I will end this with my rating is 8.8 and this just i didn't read all the chapters
I will say it i didn't mean to disrespect eny female writer I'm a big fan of Elizabeth Wheatley and not to say that fullmetal alchemist brotherhood written by a female
So yeap i wasn't attacking the females writer
Good luck brother you are writing masterpiece give me some advice on my story later - WhiteMystRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What Works
The opening is strong and immediately engaging. It drops us right into an active, vivid scene without relying on exposition dumps or long-winded setup. No info dumps—everything about the world and characters is shown naturally through action, dialogue, or small moments.
Sarah, the main character, is fun to follow. She's competent without being overpowered, and her voice is clear without trying too hard. Her reactions, especially during the sand worm fight, feel grounded and believable. She's not boring, and she brings a lot of momentum to the narrative.
Combat and action scenes are a definite highlight. The fights are high energy, well-paced, and visually exciting. The sand worm sequences, in particular, stand out with great tension and buildup. The prose reads very cinematically, with vivid descriptions that really help you picture the desert setting, the monsters, and the world in motion.
Character dynamics are interesting. Solan’s chaotic and eccentric introduction contrasts nicely with Sarah’s practical personality. Arieth adds intrigue and a more serious undercurrent. There’s chemistry between the characters, and you get the sense that there's a bigger story forming under the surface.
Hints of a larger narrative are seeded well. The increasing density of essence, Arieth’s secretive behavior, the sudden arrival of the Archmage—these elements tease a deeper plot without slowing the story down.
What Doesn’t Work
Hard to find anything that really doesn't work at this point. The pacing is smooth, characters are engaging, and the action lands well. If there's one thing to nitpick, it's that the core premise—desert monsters, adventurers, mysterious powers—feels familiar. But honestly, that's not a fault of the writing itself. With so many stories out there, true originality is nearly impossible. What matters more is execution, and this one executes well. - TheMrBurns2000Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I am friends with the author of this story, and based on everything I have read so far, the system behind this story is well thought-out, alongside the characters. As a bonus, the character designs and overall art are top-notch!
With this being said, the story is dark and exciting and will keep you on the edge of your seat at every turn.
The author has a great imagination as well. He and I brainstorm ideas when it comes to our respective stories. I'd suggest staying tuned. We have a legend in the making here.
