Description

Death should have been the end. Instead, it was merely a doorway.

When Alexander Morrison's life ended in a flash of panic and gunfire, he awakened in a world where magic pulses through ancient stones and political alliances are forged in blood. Reborn as Alec Gothsend, heir to a northern viscounty, he carries the weight of two lives within one small body—and harbors power that defies explanation.

His heterochromatic eyes tell the first part of his story—one brown like his father's, one silver with a star-shaped pupil that belongs to no bloodline his family publicly claims. But it's what he can do that truly sets him apart.

When a simple spell practice obliterates an entire tree, leaving nothing but scorched earth behind, Alec realizes his connection to magic runs deeper than anyone could have imagined. It's a discovery that will upend everything he thought he knew about himself and his place in this world.

In the Kingdom of Valethia, where magic and politics intertwine like lovers in a deadly dance, even a child can alter the fate of nations—if he can master his gifts before they consume him.

The Chronicles of the Awakened Flame is an epic fantasy saga featuring political intrigue, detailed magic systems, and a protagonist navigating his second chance at life in a dangerous new world. Perfect for fans of "The Beginning After The End," "A Song of Ice and Fire," and rich, character-driven fantasy with strategic protagonists.

I’ve really enjoyed reading this book. The main character makes decisions and mistakes that feel real and earned. The political movements is also very intriguing and not just “I’m better than you so kiss my feet” which forces the Mc to fight them like other story’s on RR can be like (nothing wrong with that at points but to much can get boring). So far the magic is a subtle but very important and I hope gets expanded in coming chapters. I haven’t seen much problems with punctuation or spelling errors. My only complaint is the names of certain noble families can get confusing. Particularly during his naming ceremony with the “Ravencrest” I believe that name was used again for another family and it confused me for a moment. But other than that I believe this is a story worth check out if you like character driven, political and power progression stories.
