I absolutely adore this series. Every single arc is at the bare minimum good, with the vast majority being straight up fantastic. The progression isn’t too fast or too slow, and even if it were, the characters are so damn fun that it wouldn’t even matter. Ben is a blast, the entire plot is consistently unpredictable and enjoyable. Thera and Myriad are probably my favorite “side characters”, if they even qualify, out of my story I’ve read. I love the magic and leveling systems, I love the world building, and above all I love the characters. Long live Frederick, the supreme bush! I couldn’t recommend this series more, if you’re looking for anything involving Litrpg, progression, crafting, magic and gods, this story is top tier. It’s as good or better than the best ones you’ve read. Definitely one I’m going to follow to the end, 10/10, I almost hope it never ends!

So I have been following this series for about a year and a half. I even got my family and friends reading it. Love the MC and his attitude I wasn't sure in the begining because it sounded like this was going to be a story where the MC is the victim of the author, but it really picked up and unlike many stories here on RR I can't just predict what's coming due to massive foreshadowing and that is refreshing. It's become something that my friends family and I call and ask are you caught up with the shenanigans and then talk about the newest chapters and guess what's coming up next or how we think others perceive the MC.

A great story from the beginning, funny, good progression and development, and great banter between the cube and the MC. Writing was a little stiff in the earliest chapters but quickly got to be amazing and I just got to current, finishing 800+ chapters in 2 weeks because I could not put it down.

The story is amazing and one of my favorites. The characters are all interesting and unique, with their interactions being fun to read. Many stories deal with the concept of gods in a way that feels viewing or over used, but I think the way this main character deals with them is particularly fun to read.

I wish i can travel in time towards the future to read more. The worse about this is that i can't read it for the first time againe.
The characters are very emotional, the romance isn't the "goal" of the books and its great, the mc gets very strong but there's still bigger fishes.

Imagine if you will (1) studious boy.  Genre savvi, a real every nerd, he jumps into a new world only to find that his affinitiy is Bad.  He's basically magically inert, his soul is a distinct unique snow flake that sucks at doing the thing they were hoping he would be magically good at.  So like Shield Hero without the Princess our Boi is alone and abandoned by everyone who just kinda want to get on with the people that Can Be heroes.  Everyone, every single creature and god in the world, is working towards The Big Picture and we can't really help you now that you're here.
    Then along comes the Cube.
The crafting is fun, the leveling is interesting, I'm loving the way each of the abilities meld together and the way the author is playing with the system as a concept outside of even gods control.  Enjoyable read

The story starts off a bit slow, but continues to improve with each chapter.
Ben is a reluctant hero who prefers to be crafting and leveling up his skills, but when forced to he will put his ingenuity to use to save the day.
He is a really good friend to the people he likes.
The only thing that annoys me about him is that he is a vindictive asshole to anyone that crosses him. His revenge is ten times worse than whatever transgression he felt. These scenes are infrequent so I won’t let this detract from my rating.

The wide array of characters, the depth of their motivations, along with the bit of end-of-the-world humor, combine to make an excellent read.
While many features of the system and divinity seem to share common points with similar other works, both are used to great effect to show not only who characters truly are in how they handle and react to the world around them, but also to provoke change in situations.

This is an excellent book with well developed characters and an interesting magic system. The early arcs are still important later, and the MC doesn't just blast through every problem that comes his way, needing to be intelligent and plan ahead. The people he meets help expand the MC's options and help him in his goals, but it is the hard work and dedication of the MC that end up making the biggest difference. A well written and fleshed out world with views of how different cultures would interact when brought to the same planet. Numbers go up, but there's work and study behind all of the improvements, it's not just a passive increase in strength from killing everything. Rich character relationships with logical and realistic progression without letting romance overshadow the entire story, while still letting the relationship grow and progress. Occasional different POVs, usually the secondary character, but most chapters are from the MCs point of view.(Started reading back in July, sad that I'll have to start waiting for new chapters, but from what I've seen the author is very consistent and rarely misses a chapter post. Looking forward to seeing Ben's new adventures.)Overall, I'd say if you're looking for a book with powerful, growing characters, but still want to see them challenged, chaotic craftsman is the book for you. Get ready for a main character who thinks with his head instead of his sword, brings his friends to new heights of strength with him instead of leaving them behind, and always rises to the challenge.

This is one of the only books I give 5 stars to. I love this book it makes my little cat brain excited and look forward to ever chapter. I can not think of a thing about this book or the magic/system style it uses. The mc the perfect amount of insane and dedicated to make him a menace to the world. The pacing is good and all the characters seem whole. Love it 5 stars
