Description

When Mike boarded the subway that morning, he was just another anonymous rider trying to outrun his past. But when gunfire erupts on the platform, he and a handful of survivors are thrust into a nightmare beneath New York City. One where the only way forward is through darkness, death, and something far older than the tunnels themselves.

I really like this story, and I truly hope you keep going. Every chapter shows how much effort and heart you’ve poured into this work, and it’s paying off in the best way for me to be honest. Whatever you’re doing behind the scenes is helping the story to grow beautifully.
Mike feels alive, the world has depth, and the pacing keeps me eager for more. You’ve created something that pulls me in and makes me want to stay, and that’s not something every story manages to do. I genuinely enjoying each new development, each twist, and each step Mike takes. ( and the others)
I am excited to see where the plot goes next, and see how they will get out of this nightmare!

I absolutely love the ambiance🙏 it's cinematic in the best way, if that makes sense. Every scene feels visually striking, almost like stepping into a film, and the maze-like tunnels really pull you in until you feel just as lost and immersed as Mike and the others. Speaking of them, each one has such a distinct voice and personal story that it’s impossible not to root for them.
I’m currently at chapter 35, and I’m thrilled to see some of the mysteries finally taking shape with real answers. It’s exactly the kind of payoff I was hoping for, and it only makes me want to keep reading.
Amazing work. Please keep it going!

The urban-fantasy potential is already incredible and pulling me right in. The slow, steady progression makes every action feel intentional and completely natural. Honestly, it reads more like a high-quality TV series than a light novel, and I’m loving that dark/gloomy vibe.
What I didn’t expect was how claustrophobic the atmosphere would become so quickly. Whenever Mike and the others move deeper into the tunnels, the tension tightens around you like the air is shrinking with them. Scenes where silence becomes survival or like where Eve keeps Dexter calm while something might be lurking overhead gave me this creeping feeling of dread I couldn’t shake. Even the quieter moments, like seeing Tess withdraw into herself, made the story feel painfully real.
I can’t wait to see where Mike’s strange instincts lead him, what secrets Harrow is hiding, and how far everyone will be pushed as the mystery unfolds. The world feels alive (and undead😱), dangerous, and full of horrifying possibilities I can't wait to uncover.
Cons: The beginning takes its time, with a few slower moments that might test impatient readers but once the action and adventure kick in, they take over completely and never let go.

great start into a nice dark survival escape (and funny sometimes) basically people are well described, their behavior is realistic and their fears and stupidity in this kind of situation is what you will see when panic strike during mass shooting etc. I already like a few characters. Fantasy side is a bit slow imo but will it give a go!

Claustrophobic tension (that I weirdly couldn’t get enough of) settles into the story almost immediately. The opening chapter feels light, even funny in places, but then bam! the mood shifts and never really lets you go. Every chapter afterward grows tighter and heavier, as if the tunnel walls were closing in right alongside Mike and the others. The atmosphere becomes so oppressive it almost feels alive, pushing on your ribs and whispering from the shadows.
There is a moment where a lot of characters get introduced at once, and it’s a bit overwhelming at first. But the author smoothly recenters the narrative a bit later, making everything easier to follow and connect with again. And honestly, lot of dying in this story 🤣 If you enjoy that Game of Thrones energy where you constantly wonder who is next, you will be thoroughly entertained (and stressed).
The characters feel raw and human, and their fear, mistrust, and tiny sparks of hope stay with you long after you stop reading. I can’t wait to see what dark twists still lie ahead.
Small critique: There are a lot of mysteries and questions, and so far (chapter 26), the answers are still very sparse. I’m not impatient, but it would be nice to have a few more breadcrumbs to chew on here and there… unless I missed the clues myself!

The worldbuilding feels rich from the very first chapters. Every new revelation made me even more invested in Mike's journey. I found myself genuinely curious to see how much he can handle and how far he will go! (I guess I am developing a severe case of schadenfreude 🙈) It kept me turning pages late into the night, unable to stop reading. So will definitely recommend. 🙏

Very solid writing, editing and characterization so far, vivid descriptions and chilling mood that evokes a Stephen King style. Very realistic approach to a supernatural (and mysterious) apocalypse. (This is a placeholder review. I'll update it as I get farther, but I know any and all reviews boost the overall score and visibility.) Slow pacing is the only thing holding it back for me so far. You may find yourself skimming a few repeated/redundant descriptions, but other than that it's quite immersive.

A great attempt at a first work, but it needs to be gone over again. The prose is fantastic the imagery is great, and the characters feel real.
The plot is so incredibly slow that the first 11 chapters could have been 3. At a certain point I found myself simply skipping paragraphs and missing nothing of substance.
I feel that the author could go back and cut a significant amount of words and sentences and the story would change very little while also leaving a crisper experience for the reader.
The story is interesting, but really, only two plot points have actually happened since the start of the book.
the instigating action is in the first couple chapters with a brief introduction, then we spend the next several chapters getting to know characters that have no bearing on the plot, followed by the introduction of a ‘guide’ type character,  which is the second plot point, only in the next several chapters, the guide only reveals a snippet of information.
Roughly a third of the way through the story, where I’m writing this review and dropping it, only those two things are of substance. Nothing else advances the supposed plot.
to the author: consider coming back and making plot progression more obvious to the reader, having the characters move from station to station doesn’t actually feel like anything’s happening if the plot isn’t moving forward.
