Description

In the gritty world of Cyberpunk 2077, a person reincarnated as Vomi, a scientist that developed the first symbiotic weapon. Read as she, or the new her, navigates the complexities of her new life as a reincarnated being with a unique symbiotic partner. The story weaves humor and existential musings as she grapples with her identity, the implications of cybernetic enhancements, and the moral quandaries of survival in a decaying society. You can expect banter, justaposition, comedy and a lot of cursing as Vomi and her biological partner try to outmaneuver the dangers this world poses. Night City isn't all fun and games when you can die, after all.

Night City doesn't like good endings, so Vomi you eviscerate them yourself.

Author's Note: I wrote this for fun, but honestly it's not a good story at all guys. If anything, as the time went by and I've re-read portions of the story, it went really nowhere. Again I just had ideas that were cool and wanted to test them out without a real plan, so if you really want to read this, take it with a grain of salt.

Let's get started here you gonks. This story right here is preem. Like that bd you got from clapping from gonk in heywood. This story shows how shitty, how unforgiving, how we can't have nice things here in the world of cyberpunk. It shows how there's always a brightside but you better protect it with all you got or you'll be some bloody smear on the wall or worse a corpo's bitch.
Anyway read or listen to the story you won't regret it even if the mc starts acting like a retard during a certain moment. The grammar is all good but can't take me entire word on it cause crappy translated wuxia novel caused me to automatically fill in the blank on grammar errors. The update rate is constant from what I've seen so far. It doesn't appear the author is sick. Atleast physically (jk maybe).
The mc and her abilities feel like a breathe of fresh air compared to other cyberpunk fanfic that just relys on being op at the start. Technically the mc is but doesn't know how to use her abilities well at the start. I really love that there is no grand plan to take over the world and be a Aizen from bleach wanna be. Seriously those are getting old and tiresome. Now if only we could stop making every fanfic female lead into girls

This narrative offers a well-executed balance of genres, primarily situated within cyberpunk, leaning between the brutal and the cinematic, where a soundtrack permeates both the narrator’s voice and the characters’ environment, with some elements of horror, blended with developmental aspects frequently found in progression fantasy.
At its core, the story delves into the nature of power and its potential for corruption. The surrounding world is a dystopia constantly shaped by this power play, a reflection of which is also the theme of violence. That same violence appears both as a means for antagonists to perpetuate the status quo and in the protagonists' almost revolutionary response, in both cases, differing perhaps in rationale but not in consequences. Further, within the cyberpunk context, power as a theme is revisited through the lens of unchecked corporate influence as well as the transformative and perilous effects of symbiotic technology.
The world itself is carefully constructed, an urban landscape defined by pervasive technology where the distinction between human and machine often blurs. Utilizing a familiar cyberpunk aesthetic, the setting is rendered in such detail that it develops its own unique signature, thereby creating a dense atmosphere laden with latent danger and obscure truths. Within the dystopian theme lies a critique of the commoditization of people; information always has a price, and trust bears a cost. The fact that people accept this as normal does not make the consequences disappear.
However, the narrative draws its most significant strength from its characters. They are presented not merely as archetypes but as layered individuals marked by flaws and internal conflicts; even the archetypes are a blend between futuristic and contemporary fantasy (e.g., scientist, artist, cursed, berserker). Their struggles, both external and personal, drive the story forward. Their arcs explore difficult questions of morality, loss, identity, and the wei

As indicated, the story concept and over all plot is solid. It's hard to go wrong with Marvel Klyntar (Venom, Carnage, etc) in a setting as open as Cyberpunk 2077. I have had no complaints about the technical writing or writing style. But the characters are easily the weakest part of this story.
While the cast itself started promising with many options available, it feel apart in the execution. The author did too much too quickly. The side characters were never properly explored and fleshed out. Even the main character felt neglected at points. As a result, what should have been impactful character moments felt forced, developments with the main character felt like they came out of nowhere, and what should have been tragic moving scenes fell horribly flat because there just wasn't enough time given to fleshing everything out. It really sucks when you cab go "I want to be emotionally moved by this scene but I'm just not feeling it". The first "volume" really should have been at least 30% longer or possibly even split into two volumes.
Unfortunately, volume 1's failures has rippled forward somewhat to volume 2's detriment. However, volume 2 is very detached from volume 1 and I am hopeful that the author will execute better this time.

This story have a good foundation going on.
A reincarnator running away from the night city with an experimental sapient biomod based on marvel's symbiote.
Symbiote is powerful yes but not game breaking. Symbiote is not compatible with anything more than super basic cyberware. She didn't even have a cyberdeck.
She's locked out of that path entirely. No Sandy nor Gollira arms for her.
This is one of a few story where it didn't set itself in the night city. MC choose the logical choice of living elsewhere. Not as a legend but as a normal merc.
MC immediately ran away from Night City to San Francisco. Becoming a merc
It's an action slice of life story of reincarnator trying to live a simple merc life. Nothing fancy. No changing the world or becoming a legend.
It's a sweet spot especially with author not quite up there with Cyberpunk's lore. No overarching plot and far away from cannon event.
    .
    .
    .
    Then it's ruined.
    Symbiote companion's dead now.
We're returning to the Night City with cannon characters from both edgerunner and 2077.
Protagonist is sad and angst now. Overarching storyline that no one asked for is hanging over her head.
I feel like something that's decent enough being trade away with something of worst quality.
    An example:
Author did complained about genderbended protagonist always ended up with another girl. Author didn't planned for romance but maybe...
Fast forward to around chapter 50.
Here we have an aftermath of the protagonist drunk fuck with a random guy.
    Just the aftermath.
    Not even a smut scene.
    No romance.
I would give first 10 chapters or so 4/5 and the rest of story 1/5
