Description
Please note: This is a Repost of Welcome to the O.M.G by DenB. Yes, I was DenB. No, this is not a revision or rewrite, this s a record of my past work.
Old, Tired and Broke, I found a new lease on life. In that moment of peace, I was pulled into a larger game.
From Nightmare Clowns and Faerie Castles to Space Pirates and Cyber Cities. Do I want to return home? Obtain Power? Have Fun until another end comes? Sure why not.
What to expect:
[ 05 / 07/2025 :Some Warnings: As with all of my Stories, this is written from a limited First Person Perspective. You know only what the MC knows. This story is basically a Self Run TTRPG session where I took a lifetime of on own notes and randomized everything into charts. When my DenB account was deleted the person that did it also destroyed a lot of these notes and charts. Please don't bring this up, I can't rebuild all of these charts anytime soon. So no I won't be finishing this, I merely am posting it as a record of my past work.
This story was and is both darker and more action oriented than my other stories. ]
Main Character starts OP, I didn't choose that, I rolled it up. The Dice, no matter which set I use seem to loved him.
Main Character has major Trust Issues these get explained as the story goes along. Also, I keep trying to set up Love Interests, that the Dice decided to have backstab him, or were more interested in other things than him. Are the Dice Jelly? Am I next? Yandere Dice!
Main Character has Druid tones, but is trying to be a Murderhobo, he recognizes the Ultimate Truth, overwhelming application of Violence solves most problems. I'll see if I can slip a few wholesome animal/nature moments in every now and then. But those Damn Dice!
Main Character despite his Violent tendencies is Competent, Thoughtful and Reflective. So, it almost makes him Human...Alfaren whatever. The Dice do not control his thinking, Yet. That's mostly me and memes and character studies of various unnamed people.
The Pacing is slow, mostly because I'm trying to keep the MC from becoming a pure engine of destruction. He seems to want to, and the Dice seem to want him to. Why am I fighting it?
I was trying to create a cohesive write style here, think of this less as a book or serial story and more as me running an campaign using a metric load of homebrewed randomization charts, from 30+ years of GM notes and charts and stories, kludged together from many, many sources.
Anywhere something random or strange happens or in some cases explicitly stated as such are dice rolls.
I will abide by the rolls, regardless of whether I want to or not. Yes, there are combinations of rolls that could lead to the MCs death, or worse. If it happens, I'll start a new story with the same framework in place.
Also there are words, I am avoiding as a challenge to myself. Try to guess what that are, as a fun minigame if nothing else.
Further Notes: I would like to reference some of my favorites games and books, but also try to keep it legally distinct as they say. So since, I suck at naming things I'll probably be creating some incredibly goofy names as parodies.
Sex will probably occur, I will probably do the fade to gray. Or not, and I'll embarrass myself by writing bad lemon.
