Description

Shinji, a 16-year-old teenager from the City of Ghuso, is an ordinary young man. He noticed a massive tower one day as he was going down the street and stopped to look up at the sky. The tower fell between the Earth's continents, and as it did, volcanoes erupted, continents fragmented into islands, and massive tsunamis struck tall skyscrapers. As humanity fell apart, the gates of Hell opened, letting all the demons out. Human minds have been overtaken by despair. God is dead.

Beyond Human is a story that doesn't seem to follow much structure as far as conventional writing is concerned. The characters feel real and dynamic and the style of storytelling is quite captivating and that's why those got the highest marks. Raioten's story starting in such a dark place was already captivating enough, but that he also had to deal with so much as a small child is insane. I haven't read many books where the main character doesn't speak, but he's quite expressive with his facial expressions and grunts.
The story itself seems really good so far but there are a lot of things going on at once. It fired make the story feel more realistic knowing that side characters are actually doing things when they aren't front and center but it can feel slightly jarring trying to think of everyoneand what they're doing. These questions may have answers but I'm still definitely excited to see more of the journey. The grammar gets the lowest score because there are a few typos here and there that can take you out of the read for a second, and the dialog is written in an odd, almost script like format. If you can look past that this story will have you hooked in no time, I'm excited to know that there are over 100 chapters and that its still going!

This story caught me by surprise from the first chapter. From the showcase is death and the odd script style, Beyond Human stands out among stories. I heard about this from reddit and I'm glad I did. Starting with Style, the story has a very unique way of storytelling. The script style that i mentioned is definitely a choice and if you can get past that or prefer that style of writing, you'll love this. Beyond just how the words are typed, the way the author describes scenes is great for building tension. The story itself is one of the main reasons this is one of my must reads. I have a habit of trying to predict stories and future events, and while I can guess some things here and there, this is one story where you'll actually be sitting back, totally nervous about what happens next. I'd like a bit more visual descriptions but Gaia itself is a pretty unique and grim setting so far and I absolutely love that. The grammar is done pretty well. There are minor mistakes here and there such as 'Raioten' being 'taken' oddly enough. The word usage is done pretty well, with many colorful descriptors being used throughout. Now the Characters is what I think is the best part about the story. Each member of the cast, from the main POV characters(yes plural. I love multiple POVs lol) and even the side characters all have their own personalities and goals. Almost every single character feels like they could be the main character of their own story and a few of them feel more like a main character than THE main character.
