This book is just awesome. The story, the characters and it makes me feel are without parallel. I am going through a dark time. Been in a deep depression for a while, and this book takes me out of myself. I love all the characters. The world is rich and interesting. The innocence of the characters, the lessons they all learn and teach each other and those around them just lifts all my crap away. It's refreshing. That said there is still awesome fight scenes, written so vividly it's a movie in my head. It speaks to who the author is as a person. Only a really good person could write this story. I absolutely love it!

Like the title says, it's a well written satire on a  popular genre that does more than merely poke fun. I started it expecting something very silly and lighthearted, which it is, but at the same time the author puts enough effort into the world and characters that I always feel disappointed when I catch up with the release schedule because I'm so engrossed in what's going on.
I feel a little silly just giving it 5 stars when I haven't reviewed anything else on this site, but I've come to realize that out of the half dozen or so serials I read on this site it's the one that most frequently makes me smile happily to myself while I'm reading it. It's not the most action packed, nor the most exciting, but the characters are the most realistic and human in their actions, even the animals.
It does have the trope of "super powered main character", but as it's not used to have him run rampant over everything destroying all who oppose him it's a lot more entertaining. He just wants to use his powers to live a comfortable life and run his farm. It's a really nice slice of life with the occasional bit of action.
The author either has an editor or has a better than site average ability to write without typos, misspellings, weird overuse of italics, or awkward thesaurus choices. Coupled with a decent, if not lightning fast, chapter output, I'm pretty impressed with the technical quality of their work.
I've been reading other cultivation serials like Defiance of the Fall and Forge of Destiny and this is a wonderful tongue in cheek version of that genre. It doesn't take itself too seriously and yet it's still a very well thought out and designed story. I'm enjoying it immensely.

This is by far one of the best stories that I have read as well as an amazing take on the xianxia genre. I love how well the stark contrast between how the main character Jin views the world and how everyone else does is used to great comedic effect without sacrificing the integrity of either viewpoint.
Additionally this story contains and teaches a lot of simple truths about life and while often times these pieces of wisdom are held in a comedic form they are well put and of worth.
I would recomend this story to anyone who enjoys fantasy, comedy, xianxia or just a simple diversion.

The heavens are out to mind control everyone. Beware lest you get so caught up being a xianxia character that you forget to stay grounded.
At least one man can see through it all.
A pure pleasure to read! Thanks to the author!
Reviews must be 50 words long, I was a tad too succinct.

50 words  are too long to explain something so simple , this novel is pure heavenly gold. It' s like eating each time your favorite food cooked by your mother , nothing can be better.

Guy flees the cut-throat cultivation world for a place to farm and settle down. Somehow, he stumbles upon a different way in which he can build a heaven on Earth on this new world. Great characters that have made me both laugh and cry. Fun! An absolutely enjoyable read. Engaging story where even animals gain sentience and even make some of the best characters. I love how he's always expanding his farm!

Do you enjoy found family? Interwoven world building with character growth? A healthy balance of familiar, romantic, AND platonic relationships? Subtly and twists that will keep you on your seat edge? Read this!!!! It's absolutely worth reading the entire story. The first three books are published and very much worth spending the money on buying.

I have really enjoyed this book, and can't wait to see where the author goes from here. The slower pace has not bothered me at all as the interactions between characters are well written. The author has gone a bit crazy with the side characters, which they addressed at the end of book 2, but hopefully they can strike a balance in book 3.
