Description
A fatal accident should have been his end. For an orphaned computer scientist, it was a new beginning. Reincarnated as Alarion Wight, heir to a powerful duchy, he finally has a family to protect in a world of magic and dragons. Armed with a super-intelligent AI from his old life, Alarion sees magic not as a mystery, but a system to be hacked. Enchanted metals aren't relics, but resources for a revolution. He builds a shield of Arcane Steel around his loved ones, determined to prevent the tragedies of his past. But when betrayal shatters his world and tears his family from him, the shield is reforged into a sword. Now, with only his dragon companion left to remind him of the love he lost, Alarionâs genius is unleashed for vengeance. From powered armor that can challenge dragons to energy blades that will execute kings, he will burn a legend into the very fabric of this world. But in his quest for revenge, will he become the very monster he set out to destroy? A Note on the Narrative Style:I want you to know from the start that Arcane Steel is designed to be a deeply immersive story. It's written in the first-person, and the narrative style itselfâthe pacing, the tone, and the level of detailâwill shift to directly mirror Alarion's internal state. You're not just watching his journey; you're experiencing it with him. Update Schedule: 2-3 chapters per week, with new releases onSaturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.

Final judgement:
100% Worth a read - ArtilemosRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0This is one of the best novels I've read this year, I love the way the story and characters constantly become from happy to more resolute, desperate, and cold. This story is amazing in how it pulls at your heart strings and I LOVE the eloquent and descriptive way the author writes. I find that authors today are too focused on getting to the juicy plot points in their story that they fail to fully explore and flush out those very plot points. This however is the polar opposite. :D
- Avid reader 1Royal Roadâ â â â â 5.0I'm addicted give moređ„¶. This MC is like if F&F Vin Diesel was cast as John Wick. All about that 'Family' and proverbial 'You killed my Dog so I kill everything that makes you, you' sort of vibe. (Obviously theirs more to him)
Straight up the author knows how to write in 1st person pov which is fantastic and to top it off the story itself is captivating AF.
It's a truly immersive world they're building, which makes me check whether a chapter is out everyday even when I know their schedule. It is Definitely a cloudy with a chance of mob evisceration via plasma canon vibe
The most important thing is that he makes me follow the MC willingly and am not made to feel like the plot is forced in any way which is a relief đźâđš. This is from someone upto date as of ch 60. - Billy Bob the thirdRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0I truly enjoy the story. There are a few grammatical errors I noticed, but the were so miniscule it took actual effort to notice. The biggest one I noticed was when the author put a m instead of an n. Due to the fact that there are little grammar mistakes and the ones that are there are insignificant and don't take away from the story, grammar gets 5 stars. The MC himself is extremely well done and enjoyable. In my personal opinion, the MC developed a bit to quickly to be natural, but again, just my taste. Aside from my preferences, the MC is to cold to truly connect with me. His views of the world are very dark, but considering his experiences, it's understandable. The writing style is awesome. I love how it's mainly from the MC'S POV, but still switches POV every couple chapters. Also, the author engages his community quite a bit, keeps us updated as to why it if there will be delays in chapter releases, or anything else in general. Plus, the author is trying his hardest to not shamelessly self-promo, so I appreciate that. Overall, a banger story. Should get a lot more support from the RR community.
- FlameLord 650Royal Roadâ â â â â 5.0Great, binged this in just two days, and I am now completely addicted. The pacing kept me hooked from the very beginning, and every chapter felt impossible to put down. This is one of the first stories Iâve read on this platform, and I couldnât have asked for a better start.
- ImmolatisEternusRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0A good story. 1st person is one of the harder view points to write and do right. This author has. :) I am excited for more. Character is a bit op, but still faces challenges. Has AI assistant which does help being reborn in another world much easier. I do like magitech and so excited to see what the main character creates!
- Ironman7679Royal Roadâ â â â â 5.0This is a unique combination of AI and magic. I'm about 40 chapters in and I don't feel like it's predictable. The MC feels overpowered at this point in the story, but that's actually interesting. It can't last forever and seeing how that unfolds should be fun. Jumping almost directly to having 2 inside companions and avoiding the mistakes of keeping too many secrets from allies is also refreshing.
- kylRoyal Roadâ â â â â 5.0I've really like this story, I feel like it's one that has a good shot at being made into a book you see in stores(well deserved).  While the pacing is fast and you can feel like your missing out on some of the finer details at times. I actually appreciate it as it's not like many stories on RR that just keep going, and going, and going with no end or real plot . The author introduced you to the premise in the synopsis and I honestly thought it was wrong as it took a decent amount of time to get to where I thought the story was starting. Very much looking forward to the rest of this story.
- Magister_et_DiscipulusRoyal Roadâ â â â â 4.5Alright, so this is an edit to my original review I did back at the last âsunshine and bunniesâ chapter at the end of the prologue. I felt it appropriate to edit my review now that I finished the first volume at chapter 60. This will be broken into two parts, one for the readers and one for the author. To the reader:This is a good story, at points it feels a big sloggish and flat but the author repeatedly reminds us we are reading from a kind of first person mental perspective. Its new and jarring, but the author does a good job on most of the story save for a few spots in the later parts. The scope of his story is grand, itâs not as messy as some stories I have read and was very easy to become invested in the characters. Especially the bandaids. I would heartily encourage others to read it. Its a novel concept on the isekai stereotype and blends the magitech aspect moderately well. The author skips a lot of the knitty gritty parts of creating the tech in leu of its creation and the AI smoothing things out. Overall I think its worth it. It earned its fame.To the Author:I think you did a great job with the first volume and moving the story along. Some parts felt rushed, which you mention axing several arcs from the story when you brought it over from patron. The biggest thing that stood out to me since my initial review was the excessive descriptions you add in the later chapters after the dungeon arc. It got really hard to read how the stomping of automata sounded out like a natural disaster. I would give the benefit of the doubt, since I am reading through the mind of a grief stricken late-teen boy. But I wanted to point this out to you as constructive criticism in a future edit of the book. You could have omitted droves of excessive description in favor of more development of characters, battles, enemies. For example, the part with the children that Goliath faces could have benefited more from extrapolation of more instances of things like that happening. More mome
- jjchampsfRoyal Roadâ â â â â 4.5Honestly really enjoying the story so far. I binged it all in just a day! Only quibble is that I am not as much a fan of the op isikai trope. But to be fair, the author does a good job of showing time passing for some of the op things.....so just my two cents. Great grammar and few to no spelling errors, makes it easy to stay engaged and in the story. Overall it is certainly worth a read and a follow!
Thanks Author!!
