Description
Coming off the end of the first multi-planet war in their arm of the milky way, the Inner Dolcir Coalition has barely come out alive thanks to a single planet they had found in the nick of time: Earth. Rhidi, a Kafya and a member of the race that currently dominates the IDC, was a part of a specialized force and saw action during the tail end of the war. With the war over and her mother keen to see her married off and having babies, Rhidi quickly signs up to take part in a joint military training program. This program, more of a statement to the Humans that the members of the IDC are just as equal, turns out to be far more than Rhidi had bargained for, not only in challenge... but in the freedom she has always wanted. Is this slice of life and military wartime story, written by a United States Army Veteran, Rhidi will come face to face with a military that wears no gloves and seeks redemption for their failures during the Ur War, bounding across the stars to put lead and blade into those deemed hostile. Aliens, Monsters, and armored suits abound, this story with over a thousand readers across multiple platforms will leave you satisfied, yet hungering for more. What to expect: - A long travelling arc of an Alien's passage in the possible future of Humanity's military - Gritty and realistic scifi backset across battle scenes that helm in the realm of reality - Monster woman and men - Aliens of curious natures - New and unseen planets with cultures built from the ground up - World building designed around giving readers something to sink their teeth into - Romance that flows naturally - Spirited characters that have their own quirks and personalites - A steadily growing fanbase, found on both youtube, discord, reddit, and right here on royalroad Find the community here: https://discord.gg/UC6DQ6ttbN

- Ant_Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Followed this story since its rebirth. Up to date with every chapter, have now gone into the authors back catalog with Emily Bronze and Veil Riders.
Fun fast paced stories, I always liked the Matthew Reilly style adventure novels, this fits the bill but with aliens. :)
I have also enjoyed the audio version, some great narration have it on the background when I work. - AustrumRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great slice of life story. I would never have imagined how enjoyable it would be to read about aliens encountering earth alcohol. The power armor sci-fi airborne also strikes a nice chord with me. This story makes me keep an eye on my notifications, simply to catch the next chapter ASAP!
- Colin GravesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0WHERE IS MY FURRY ROMANCE? I CAME HERE FOR BUSTY FURRY BABES, BUT ONLY GOT RELATABLE FUN CHARACTERS....WHO KEEP THEIR CLOTHES ON. I FEEL CHEATED. WHERE ARE THE RAUNCHY SEX SCENES? WHERE ARE THE YURI ROMANCES? idk. But in this, there are so many fun characters and relatable stories. G-man gave it a grand background, but with a few changes, it is a very relatable "I just joined the military story.
- Crusader0625Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Reminds me of my time in the service and has cool art, believable characters and insane tech that reminds you of halo meets competent writing ... even if they're furries, still an amazing story with lots of potential, can't wait to see where it goes from here, best of luck
- Damien McCuinnRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've been a long-time follower of Guard; his works always immerse me in the worlds he crafts, and this one is no different.
For those who like the predecessor of this story, you will love this more. If you are already a fan of the DPG series I recommend the Veil Riders as your next story to read. As a side note, where are the trout Guard? - DestroyatronMk8Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've been following Guardbro since his Freiren and Rimiki series on Starbound HFY. I'm damned pleased to find he's here, too. Drop Pod Green is pretty typical of his work (in a good way). You can expect fleshed out characters, sharp dialogue, and a solidly paced mix of action and humor. It's an outstanding piece of Military Sci-Fi and HFY.
Oh, and there's an audio version on Youtube. That's why I'm posting this review after only seeing one chapter. Can I drop a link in reviews? Oh, looks like I can. Here you go : - ElvenairmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am loving the world building and character development.
Being a military vet, the military life depicted is great.
I prefer long form works over short story work and this looks to be the building for a good long run.
I look forward to following this story to the end. - FrannercakesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Rhidi and the skittles squad are such fun characters! The other aliens in the ranks are different but still have memorable moments. I swear guard tries to work in writing about food as much as he can and honestly it makes the story really relatable. The many serious or ridiculous conversations happen while eating food together just makes it feel more lifelike. Definitely a fun read.
- Groggy280Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0A well written story about some excitable aliens doing some rocking drop pod trooper stuff! The characters have depth and width which is a pleasant change for me. The plotlines are logical and flow with sense. There isn't anything above an r-rating, or at least I don't remember any issues. The stories in the chapters are entertaining and demonstrate character and plot development. Would recommend.
- AesiaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0My husband got me into this a while back, and now I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next chapter. It makes a great listen during my long night shifts. The voice actors are amazing and Guardbro's writing never ceases to keep me interested and laughing. Way to go man!
