Wow, a very unexplored idea, but interesting in it's rareness.
Using insects that not many people know about, but that are part of one of the most important dyes in history, as this new god's subjects was a bold move. I liked it, but I find it sad that it wasn't expanded more.
I dont have enough information when reading to know: were the caracters are, what environment they're in, what distance separates the location, where are the locations, what time of day it is or how temporarily apart are the events(certainly needs working on).
My imagination very much did carry the ambience of the locations, because there's wasn't much descriptors of the environments. We started in a place with cacti, then a more humid place (I think) then a forest with trees taller than the mc (Is it redwood, leafy trees, piny trees, mixed or jungle?)
The thought process of ketsuri is well done. The rate at which she learned of the world was well paced (writing time, idk about world time). How did she get mature so quick? Why does she feels so strongly about cochineal? Why is she so cold? More chapters before the current #1 (or prologue) could help get some caracter development that adress these questions.
Very Correctly written, grammar and structure didn't have mistakes. What was happening was clear.
tldr: vert good ideas, needs fleshing out.
