After the Final Chapter

Description
Daniel didn't die a hero. He died at his keyboard after one too many energy drinks, uploading the final chapter of his fantasy epic. Then he woke up as the hero. "Whuh??" Artorias Grifantes—legendary archmage, savior of the continent, martyr who sealed away an immortal evil—has been gone for a thousand years. Now Daniel finds himself in that body, flooded with memories and emotions that aren't quite his own. "...I'm glad I wrote him handsome." The ancient threats he sprinkled into his worldbuilding are now a very real problem. One he'll have to face to save the world once again. “Well… I don’t know about that.” He was the reason the world was in danger, after all. “...Guess I’ll check it out, at least.” Time to see if the author can survive his own story. What to expect: - OP MC- Discovering a changed world- Reconnecting with old friends- Best disciple- Plenty of magic, a fairly unique spirit system, and formation focus- Academy stuff after a while- No harem Release schedule is 3 chapters a week, mon-wed-fri

- IrjaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good story.MC is OP, buuut it's not his entire character.I usually skip OP MC, but the synopsis is interesting. And the story is also interesting. There's second MC in the story. An FMC, she's 13...so no romance there.Anyway, MC's first life truly have great effect on his isekai life. It's interesting to see how author correlates them.Regarding FMC, MC tried to make her strong due to his past life. And this is where the story get interesting. It's a good heart warming story.
- darkseraphRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far I’m enjoying the story. I’m looking forward to how the story develops and how the author will deal with the MC already being super powerful from the get go. Is it going to be more slice of life or is it going to be one of those whole level up to next realm kind of deals in order to give the protagonist new challenges?
- MozgovedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book is unbelievably good. Its a kind of parody on a subset of korean web novels where the author finds hinself in his own book. The scenes and the general plot here are an emotional rollercoaster to the extreme - ranging from pure comedy to edgelord cringe evil incarnates, but the tone of voice remains consistently serious, like whatever the level of absurdity is happening around, the book stays dead on serious.
This collision and contrast of extreme surroundings delivered in a plain serious tone delivers exhilirating pleasure tonthe reader.
Highly recommended if you like this particular type of narrative style. The writing is high quality and very consistent.
Update at Ch. 37: I cried. That doesnt happen often and definetevle a sign of a good story. - sobachatinaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is well written with good descriptions and distinct characters. Excellent prose and not annoying dialog make the writing itself better than many.
The premise is unexpected and fun. The MC is thoroughly OP but unlike power fantasy stories it isn't the point. The story is about his relationship with his niece and how the world has changed.
Admittedly there hasn't been a challenge to his power yet but I haven't found myself wanting one. I'm quite happy watching him rescue and teach people. - FabioKunRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The writing follows the OPMC Archmage narrative, but in an endearing and intriguing way. I would even go as far as to call it interesting. I have read chapters ahead but this review stands firm without spoilers.I have given it an overall 5 star score, not only because I got pulled in almost immediately, but also because I got invested in the story and its characters, two of which are the most important. The first thing I noticed was how different hte MC was from the usual OPMC route(see MLA for example) and the fact the he entered his own universe adds to my liking. As a writer, I would not dream to entery ANY of the worlds I created, but in an ideal world whever everyhting is normal, I would be like a kid in a candy store.Style: The writing style is easy to follow, easy to read and comprehend, which leads to rapid binging as the writer masterfully tells their story.Grammar: Minor grammaer errors but nothing jarring.Story: The second best thing about this entire book. The story developes really nicely in a way that keeps me hooked and wanting for more. It's simple, for now, as it hints as something greater the more we get to know about the world.Character: The best thing about this story. Each and every (important)chatarcter, especially the MC, has various levels of depth to them, which easily drags me in and makes me care about them. I also related to the MC so there's that.
- DamnationSaintRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5So this is a great story. The characters are well developed and the world building has no inconsistencies that I've noticed. My only complaint would be pretty much every chapter is a cliff hanger. Written for an extra paragraph or truncated by a paragraph would leave the story in a spot where the chapter felt complete. I understand this is likely an intentional decision and it works for whole books to make sure readers get the next volume but chapter by chapter it begins to grate.
- Fost_NZRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Very well written story, with good characterisation of both the MC and the supporting characters (if most are just present for a chapter of two). Just starting to learn of the world, its history, the magic system and who the MC (was) fits into it, it (at first read) seems well thought out, logical and consistent. The MC appears to be a bit too OP, so not sure how he will be challenged, but not seen enough of him being put under pressure to see how it actually plays out against a top power opponent. Also wondering how the romance subplot enfolds, already one candidate has presented itself, my guess it she is "the one" but looking forward to seeing if I am right.
My only criticism is that the character of original-Daniel (the supposed author of the book he is now in) is very undeveloped - would have liked have more of his history / personality explored in the first few chapters as who he is/was seems to heavily influence the MC in the actual story but not a lot to understand why he is making the decisions he is making. This means is it a 4½ for me not a 5, but on the other hand I have favourited it. - HazlbazlRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story does a good job of the OPMC trope and I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit. It’s an interesting take seeing the Mc walk around the world he essentially created and seeing the changes that have been made. My only issue with the story is the FMC. While the author does a great job at making you feel for her and her circumstances, I find it hard to believe how quickly the Mc came to care for her. So much so that in like two days he’s calling her his sister. It feels a little forced and didn’t build organically. But it’s not enough to break the reading experience and I’ve still really enjoyed it
- FurioRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The Author use the trope of the writer that incarnate in his novel without any logical necessity. The concept beyond this trope is that the reincarnated writer/reader of the novel has a series of information about the future of the story that the original protagonist has not. In this novel the reincarnated writer has the same information of the original archmage , so why this further layer of isekaied redirection?
I agree with others reviewers that the characters developed very intimate relations in times too short to be minimally credible but if you suspend your disbelief the ritm of the story is pleasant - immotRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Average plot, average characters and below average execution. The writing is way too heavy handed and the setting is completely unbelievable. Everything you want from an OPMC in terms of power is there, but the characterization is juvenile at best. Appreciate the author putting out 3 chapters a day however.
