Description

In a war-torn world, where cataclysmic battles poisons the land and survival is bought with blood, a child slave scours battlefields for the dead. Bound by cursed tattoos that burn if he disobeys, Kilu is the longest-surviving “crow”—a child scavenger cursed to never steal, never flee, and never matter.

But Kilu is not like the others.

Where others see chaos, Kilu sees rhythm. Where others see death, he sees data—patterns in magic, movement, and power. And deep within his mind, something stirs: a system of understanding no one else can see. Not gifted. Not granted. Not found. Created.

As the war collapses toward its end, Kilu meets strange creatures and powerful warriors who see what he might become. They teach him magic, martial arts, survival, and strength—but not how to be part of a world that never wanted him in the first place.

But first, he must survive his masters.

And in a few decades, when the invaders return, they’ll meet the one who crawled from mud and fire to build a system meant to break worlds.
