I absolutely loved the workings of this spider centaur society and how the world reacted to their appearance. It could have been better but it was done well enough to be worth 5 stars

For my first read on Royal Road, this was a genuinely fun ride. The frequent POV switches threw me off early on, but I never hit a perspective that felt dull, and as the story went on those shifts became one of its strengths. The Malygos chapters in particular were a highlight. Krivax was handled really well; he never felt overpowered for the sake of it. Every bit of progress he made felt earned, which made his growth satisfying and kept me turning pages far later than I should have. A few plotlines felt rushed, and some characters seemed poised for bigger roles than they ultimately played, but that’s not unusual for a Warcraft-based story.
I’ve read a lot of fanfiction, and this stands out. The premise is bold but treated with complete sincerity, and the worldbuilding supports it at every turn. The conflicts stay varied and engaging, and the prose is smooth and easy to settle into. It feels like the kind of story that will wander in fascinating directions for a long time.
As a longtime Warcraft fan, I had a blast. The only downside? It dragged me back into WoW after I’d finally quit. Worth it.

Pretty great! Certainly shows more care and interest in this time period of the warcraft universe than blizz has shown recently (looking at you wc3 reforged).
Picking Nerubians as the race of focus initially struck me as an odd choice, but its a gamble that pays off. We get the twofold enjoyment of seeing the rest of azeroth through Azjol-Nerub's isolationist eyes, and human peasants running in misplaced fear from giant armored spiders.

You know a story is special when several supporting cast members are interesting enough to be their own protagonists. There are your typical trope-like characters scattered around, but they are balanced by actors with a surprising amount of depth. Not only is the SI MC a pleasure to read about, but he is also surrounded by deep and nuanced side characters. His mentor, his best friend, and even the light-wielding Spiderlord each carry their own story and rich personality.

I never played or had any kind of interest in WoW before and this book changed that in a heartbeat. The author built an story using the lore of the games as a base with enough mastery to make the world bright to people that hadn't seem or even liked the universe this fanfic is based upon. Nerubian journey made me consume lore videos/content and even start playing the game.
Just read it guys, it will be worthwhile.

I truly think this might be the best fanfiction of all time I can only think of a handful of other fanfiction that Mach up and I have read at least over 300 fanfiction
I came into this expecting to be very confused because I have never played WOW but this novel makes it so I know everything that is going on and I don't even need to know the lore it's like a real novel of the series
The characters are amazing and realistic the plot and how the main character interacts with it are done wonderfully the grammer is amazing I could not find one mistake in it and the overall style is amazing
Overall one of the best novels on this site that everyone should read
