Excited to see a new Frog in water story loved the previous one and am really looking forward to this one. You guys all know what this is help with the Algo and showing the author how much we are excited for you aren't reading a one chapter novel especially advertised as a sequel without reading the first one.
From this chapter it reads like more of the same high quality we received last time with a high level of polish and charm that we were all missing after the previous book ended. Also it succeeds in setting up where the book will differ from the last all in all a great first chapter and I am looking forward for the future.
Obviously not much to say about 1 chapter however, for the word count, I will say that the style is as I remember it line breaks and clear presentations along with the clear character separation very obvious who is talking not just from the style on the page but also by the characters own style of voice and thoughts which make reading it easy and free flowing, which is obviously an incredible boon when dealing with a game as complex as Yu-Gi-Oh.
Can't comment too much on story but this being a fanfiction of og Duel Monsters does lend itself to a rather exciting time with some great and dare I say timeless characters.
Nothing wrong with the grammar and nothing wrong with it in the previous book either so I assume it will continue to be so.
With characters it feels like cheating we have 2 returning characters and the Granpa Muto the best damn guy plus other characters still need to be introduced.
Okay enough filling out. This is my honest take and despite me waffling for word count i will probably come back and edit this later just really want this one to take off like the last one did like most of us I loved DM and Frog in Water so I want the combination to do amazingly. GL author. Now hurry up and post more haha.

Phil got nerfed in this and that kinda removed the main draw of him for me. His deck is a boring era one and this time, there is t that variety from the previous fic. Also, he got close to the new characters way too fast. I prefer the named canon characters over ocs as the main allies. At least for the beginning. I miss Bastion and friends lol. I also can’t say I like the whole underground dueling direction its going so I will probably drop this here.
