Description

I was a crippled degenerate who crashed just before the finish line of my young life. My wrestling career, and the last of my family both burned right in front of me. Years later, I was nothing but a pizza addicted gamer, a self-loathing recluse living on disability and rotting away in the dark. Then I died (literally) in the one place I had ever actually made something of myself: my favorite game,Exiled Gods.

Short story, right?Turns out, that was just the tutorial.

A meddling goddess yanked me into a world where legends carve their names into eternity with quills of steel and blood for ink. A world of warlords, monsters, and divine tyrants fighting for power—and somehow, I’m in the middle of it.

Luckily, I didn’t show up empty-handed. This world runs on familiar game mechanics, and I’ve got just enough tricks up my sleeve to make something of myself. Maybe even something terrifying.

So join me. We’re gonna meet people who become a closer family than I ever had on Earth. We’re gonna tangle with psychos, monsters, and actual gods who want to tear us apart.

There’ll be violence. There’ll be some colorful language. And maybe—just maybe—there’ll be a few laughs on the road to becoming a bonafide World Boss

At first this felt like a fun generic romp, but now the supporting cast is here the authors incredible writing skills shine through.
The mc has some a bag of deus ex machinas but none of it feels world shattering. Low fantasy setting vs an mmo powerscale.
But seriously, the side characters didn't impress me at first but when the main (found) family gathers it really works. A beautifully crafted dynamic.

I have probably read between 800-1200 books I have never kept track, fantacy series are my favorite especially when I can't stop reading and this is one I don't want to stop for a long time!! I can't believe this Author for real is my little brother!!! This is the fourth book I have read from him and he blew me away with his first 3 books on another series he is doing and can't believe how good he is he just started like 6 months ago and 4 Books!!! All good just as good as my other favorites like Terry Good Kind or Robert Jordan, RA Salvatore, Dragonlance etc..... But with his own style and a gaming twist in his writing I keep telling him he should have been doing this years ago this is his calling there is no way he will lose in this he is going to get big it's a fact and I get to see it first hand!!!

Let me start off by saying that I am a big fan of this story and I have been keeping up with it basically every week since it first hit Royal Road almost a year ago, so obviously I am quite invested. It is perhaps for that very reason that I have been putting off writing this review for such a long time. I wanted to be fair in my judgment, and so I have been trying really hard to sort out my thoughts and put them into proper words. Not words of blind adoration, mind you, nor ones of overzealous criticism. Just some comments and opinions which I find worthy of sharing.
The premise is simple, and probably familiar to most readers on this site. An isekai with an overpowered protagonist reborn into a fantasy world with game elements. Easily digestible by any fan of the genre, if a little simple for some readers. But don’t let it fool you, because it is not the premise alone that carries the story.
What does carry it is the writing. It is, in my opinion, superb. The author has a talent for creating incredibly vivid imagery, and is quite obviously having a lot of fun putting his vision on paper. Each paragraph is a treat that just oozes love and dedication, be it a description of a character, a place, or a fight scene. They flow and mesh really nicely together and the chapters just go by in a blink of an eye.
Another closely tied aspect I like is the worldbuilding. Anything from the snippets about the political situations and power structures in the new world, to the bits of lore tied to all the cheaty items from the protagonist’s arsenal. It all adds a certain bit of flavor that scratches that little itch in the back of my head.
If there is something I would like to complain about, however, it is definitely the character bloat. To be frank, as the cast just kept on growing, I found myself forgetting a lot of names and being generally confused at times. The characters I personally care about, though, are very likable and have very distinct looks and personalities, and get
