Description
"To whom much has been given, much will be asked" (c) The Gospel of Luke. So often, when we gain something, we forget these simple words. It's better for me always to remember them. I am a Break Knight. My mission is to protect the world from the threat of Breakthroughs. And I cannot refuse this "honor." Such is the condition of rebirth in this alien, deceptively similar to the former, but in many ways incomprehensible world. And yes, I indeed have been given a lot...
This is an amateur translation of the web novel series by Alexander Zaytsev (published on a non-commercial premise, with his permission).
The work was first made using Google Translate and a lot of editing, then underwent an AI rewrite and more editing after that, ~800 hours in total (I note this for those who tend to dismiss anything labeled with AI as achieved with no efforts). A part of the original style was lost at the rewrite step, but the readability improvement was worth it.
I hope the result is decent enough for you to enjoy the story.

- MenahemRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An interesting plot full of twists and surprises, with a big arch. Well done! Mostly one POV, from an ambiguous protagonist, both young and old with both internal and external conflicts. Lots of action and reflection and an implied romantic triangle of a kind I've never seen before. It is nice that it has a real conclusion also.
