The story starts out with a bunch of small blurbs for chapters, but honestly it's not too bothersome as the story is still solid and those small bits are literally designed to go by quickly.
If you're a fan of stories which go more into depth on hacking than "downloading the mainframe" and "*hacker voice* I'm in", you're looking in the right place. Characters are well written, though there are a bunch of semi-jarring POV shifts with the new character introductions every so often. I think once I get further in and these characters get more established, this will be less of a problem though.
Reading through the backlog from a computer so far has me happy to keep reading bite-sized pieces every once in a while when I have downtime. So, for anyone who wants to start this book, I'd say give it a shot, since the short length of some chapters really isn't to the story's detriment when there's about 160(?) chapters of writing to read through first. Though if you're gonna be binge reading, yeah you might find yourself at the end before you know it idk.
Overall rate a 4.5/5. Not because of the chapter length, but because the POV shifts take a brief minute to adjust to.

Chapters are short, and occasionally as short as a paragraph or single screen.  So to get anywhere in the story you'll have to click Next a lot.  So many chapters feels like a page count is being deliberately padded, and it makes the story feel longer than it is.  And the writing is terse and abrupt.  Multiple POVs.
Wildly unrealistic scenarios from SA, to beating up multiple kids, to extortion from 1 punk kid all without consequences, to Russian hackers, to a local billionaire in a small town taking an interest in a kid for no reason other than he solved some number puzzles for 4 hours.
The main character shows only a tiny bit of knowledge, and completely fails at running a business, unlocking accounts, getting a work permit from school, getting a parent signature, paying off a bully, or asking any adult for help.  He hasn't shown that he will become a hacker yet, in 50 chapters!  None of the characters feel well developed, and some are almost cartoonishly cardboard cutouts.
It is not fun, only informative if you already know the cybersecurity being alluded to, and I feel like my time has been wasted.  There are better, more entertaining, stories out there.

The chapters are so short. This review may be longer than a chapter.
Seriously, like a haiku in length.
    Each chapter is short
Drives me insane to read it
    Spend more time scrolling
The writing may be fine but was distracted by the story length. Is there a minimum size for posting? 50 characters for review. Hope you liked my haiku.
