- KosjRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's a very good start and I can't wait for more chapter to be released. It still needs some work what what doesn't when it first starts. It's a pretty original world and has a good start on its world building. I have high hopes for this book and author.
- akupanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0From what I see so far this is gonna be a great story! Might even be the first one I go to Patreon for. I am very curious as to how the story will develop though I do wish the chapters were a little longer. I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to show some support for this one because it seems to have great potential and I would love to see it reach its peak.
- DITO8SHADOWRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story seems either a new foray into writing, a non-english speaking author or both, but well worth the read.
As far as issues go there aren't many and are easily overlooked, minor spelling and grammatical errors, or incorrect words ('are' seems to be used in place of 'our' in a few places) and the characters seem a little shallow (very little is shown about their emotions or motives, hearing that a massive portion of humanity just got wiped out somewhere off in the distance no one seemed to care, which could be portrayed as everyone is used to difficult life but a little mention of such a fact would make things seem a little more reasonable). Character development/discovery is a little lacking as well, with surface actions shown but little indication of why they actually act that way (although it seems to get slightly better as chapters go on).
For the good points, while the post-apocalypse genre is fairly common the main character and their perspective and experiences are fresh, and without being a nitty-gritty story or grimdark or anything like that the story can be quite realistic (in a literature way) about resource scarcity and mentions on semi-political-collapse and control by the 'rich'. The magic system is uncommon or even rare, where specific runes have to be 'prepared' beforehand and each rune is kind of modular, without using infodumps to try and explain magic as if it was programming or something similar, individual runes and how they're used/interact with eachother only get a brief overview but the story is written in a way that that is enough. The protagonist is written in such a way that they don't have a very 'clear' personality, but rather are more like an actual person, although they do have knowledge/self education that is uncommon in a modern world, let alone a post-apocalyptic world, but it is still within reason, they are new to things they should be new to, amazed by things they should be amazed by, they let things get to their head a bit
