Description

Revenant, one of the most dangerous supervillains of the contemporary United States (if not the world) expected a lot of things to happen to him - or not - after finally dying at the end of his longest and most successful of plans.

What he certainly didn't expect was waking up centuries in the future, only to discover that neither he nor the world he lived in has ever existed, his life being the storyline of an ancient superhero comic book. Now brought to life by a passage of something not from this universe - and capable of warping reality in its wake - he has to find a way to escape from a dying world.

All while dealing with a diverse set of issues. Starting from his old love interest (whose death became his villain origin story) returning to life, his friendly local mission control being a genocidal AI with 'Slaughterer of Billions' among its titles and.... well, a vast array of space horrors crawling through the maze of the planet-sized tomb he is now trapped in.

[On a sidenote, we have TV Tropes page now. Yay?]

Villains coming to "reality" from a comic book , sounds cool? What if the "reality" they come to is crazier than them? How would they react to it, and to the realisation that their life's where just a story? The idea is equal parts crazy, fun and interésting, specially as you get to know more about who the mc is, who the other villains are what their relations are, and how are they going to survive in an even crazier world. Expect slow burn character development, Lots of cliches and them being turned upside down and a world that's only just beginning to show what it's capable of!

If you like superhero stories and sci fi, you'll love it!
The characters are complex and all of them have a realistic system of morals, however they can't really afford not to do some questionable things. They have quirky and fun personalities, yet they know when they need to take things seriously.
The style remains hopeful and funny for the most part, but the serious parts are played straight and can be very emotional.
Grammar is almost flawless, errors are few and far between.
The story is interesting. Someone described it as Warhammer 40k + Villain Deku, which isn't exactly wrong, but doesn't pain the picture very well. It is true that the different factions all tend to be autocratic and all that, but since the group works on their own for now, the politics of the other factions is more of a setting than part of the plot. That's especially true because the characters we follow most of the time are outsiders to this world and thus don't have any alliances to existing factions. Most of the villains are so because of their trauma. That isn't true because it's a Villain Deku, but because trauma is one of the main reasons why people do bad things and because they can't trust people who do bad things because they like to do them or are delusional enough to think they're doing good things. The psychological understanding displayed is pretty good, and for that alone it is worth reading.

As you might have expected by the title the main character is essentially Villain Deku(innocent super power nerd gets too much trauma and goes evil), it’s not a total imitation, but there’s a clear power/design inspiration(his second-in-command is a less edgy Shigaraki, his girlfriend is a younger and cuter female Re-Destro, etc...) all of that while they’re in a grimdark future, locked inside an artificially made super planet

I really like the worldbuilding and combining superpowers with eldritch abominations and a space station is a really fun combination. The characters arent bland with strong relationship between them that helps push the story and root for them. And the action always keeps you at the edge because of the stakes.

This is a hotpot of genres from Anti-Hero, Superpowers, Isekai, Reincarnation, Empire-Building, Harem, Action, Battle Royale and more! All executed in a good manner, and its not even a parody.
Grammar 3.5/5 - A bit iffy. Its legible, but it starts deteriorating here and there as you catch up to the more recent chapters. Its nothing horrible that wouldn't make sense, just needs a healthy amount of editing.
Style 4/5 - The infodumps are interposed in ways that tie in to other aspects of the story. Just not a fan of Harem stories in general, tho this is one of the better ones out there.
Character 4/5 - Thankfully the harem members aren't braindead dolls that simply love our MC. They still simply love the MC but they have depth and character. Now, the character development of the side characters are a bit spontaneous, like a mini deus ex machina which is an inherent issue to stories with a lot of characters that needs to be constantly interacting. I'm still watching out for this one as there have already been small personality shifts that have been explained away by because. But so far nothing too huge so its bearable.
Story 4.5/5 - The pacing's a bit out of place. You'd expect our brilliant schemer to be keeping track of time after being given a deadline of as little as a few weeks, they may have been given a few months as leeway, but coming from a wartorn world clashing against insane abilities that ended most everything close to them they'd be more cynical as this time they have everything to lose.
