I love that it starts with the classic isekai hook but jumps straight into the action instead of that typical slow-burn world discovery. I enjoy both styles, but I definitely prefer it when things are actually happening while the world-building unfolds in the background.
So far, the world is being developed really well without making the MC overpowered (OP) right out of the gate. In my opinion, that’s a huge plus. The fact that he has flaws and still feels "human" gives the story much more credibility.
I’m really hoping for many more chapters to come. This is one of the few stories I’ve actually taken the time to review because I liked it that much!
Regarding the MC, his growth is gradual. At 36 chapters in, you can already tell he’s not going to become OP overnight. The potential involvement with a certain character in the party is also a nice touch—it adds a sense of "normalcy" to the whole thing.
As for the grammar, there's nothing that makes me want to dock points. Nobody’s perfect, so a missed punctuation mark or a weird verb conjugation here and there is fine; nothing has broken my immersion so far.
The writing style and the genre—even if it’s a common trope on RR—are being handled really well and keep you hooked. Of course, I’d love a chapter a day so I’d always have something to read, but I get the "human limitations" LOL. - GarrettttttRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Incredibly well done. Excels at what the author wants it to be and keeps me entertained from start to current chapter. Never once was I bored or unimerssed. A great example of what most portal fantasy/litrpg novels could be.
Style:
A perfect example of exemplary pacing, structure, power balancing, world building and fun all written into a nicely coherent and interesting novel. Properly done with all the bells and whistles that makes the world pop and my mind want more.
Story:
Every chapter has something going on in it. One thing leads to another and suddenly you're hooked and predicting what happens next. Keeps you enticed and engaged while hitting hard or soft when it needs to. Great work.
Grammer:
So far, there were some minor edits that people already pointed out and the author fixed, but the spelling and diction is superb. The writing in here is descriptive and non-lore-dumpy. Well done.
Character:
This book does a great job of helping you love to hate certain characters while making you slowly become tolerant then accepting of others. Then suddenly it makes you really enjoy certain ones even further than the last. Even a two chapter throwaway character feels fleshed out and made me (not) cry as they left the story in a better way than they entered it. Great stuff.
This book is truly cut from a top of the line cloth. Worthy of your time and will bring you plenty of enjoyment.
See you in the comments! - bigbittyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Pretty good story that is going into the witcher aspects now which we don't get a lot of so im excited to see how the author is able to make it work. It will be cool to see and all of the different monsters planned and how this generation of unbowed (witchers) do. If they always carry salt for ghosts or something idk need 50 words, but its been a good read so far and highly reccomend it.
- gobyblazerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am seriously loving this novel so far! The characters are so well-written and the world-building pulls you in. I have to say, I was really caught off guard by the writing quality, it’s definitely step up. It is such a pleasant surprise to find a story that is this polished and genuinely fun to read at the same time. Keep up the amazing work!!!
- rifhRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Finally, an isekai story that actually shows the struggle of coming from another world. The fact alone that he can’t speak the same language as the people there makes it far more likable than 90% of the stories where the protagonist gets transported and everything is fine and dandy.
When I started reading this, it reminded me a bit of A Soldier’s Life (especially the stats in the Attributes window), but it’s good to see that after a few chapters it deviates into a much more unique story.
I will definitely update this to a more in-depth review once more chapters are out. - McCaneRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Witchers world.
The setting might as well be the witchers world. The Isekaied MC has a system as a golden finger and tries to survive in this medieval hostile world. Overall good but I took 1 star away cause I do not like the constant unreasonable hostility. If you liked the gameworld of Witcher this is your thing
