The fights have been good so far as well.
This author writes as if he is experienced and not a rookie writer who needs to learn how to be engaging

Cool scenes.  Waiting to see what the archmages limits are.  Might be cool to see a Dr. STRANGE PORTAL sending a superior fighter days travels away or something.  Aka brain over brawn.  Mostly though Im looking forward to some world building, and seeing what civilization and culture look like.  Im assuming Calid will have some different opinions on how things should work.  But will also have to tolerate others.  Great to see the running arc is almost over.

Just caught up at chapter 14, and so far very much enjoying it. The pacing is good, logic intact. You can feel the characters desperation without feeling like everything is rushed.Saving this and will come back every few days to catch up again. And I’m looking forward to it!

Really interesting story. I like how there is immediate conflict. No silver platters here. Only pain and growth. The author makes it easy to relate to characters. Even side characters. Most stories are MC crawling from bottom to top. It’s interesting to see a story where peak leadership is thrust upon them

I think the Author found a really great way to conceptualize the MCs existing abilities and capabilites and transfer it into the systems, i found the other characters to have a great depth and the beginning of the story was amazingly captivating for me. For me personally grammar and spelling seem really on point, but i am no english native speaker. Keep up the great work!

The original premise is intriguing. In my opinion, the few chapters available deliver upon the initial promise and then some ! The writing style and the pacing are really good. I'm a sucker for the more "technically oriented" stories and this one, while still remaining light, does not shy away from explanation about qi constructs and the like.
I highly recommend you give it a try. you'll know by chapter 5/6 if this is for you.

I don't like systems I just don't like them. But my god, you are good. It's been a long time since I read such a promising novel. I've been reading 13 chapters. and I am as excited as when I started reading A Mortal's Step on the Immortal Path. my favorite cultivation novel. If what I'm reading continues with this quality, this novel may be equal to or better than that one. I would love to help you in any way I can, but I live in Cuba so I hope these words help in some way. much success.

Good concept. Writing gets better as the author continues. I’ve seen people that say it’s AI, I believe it but it didn’t really bother me. If anything it’s a nice change compared to some of the more poorly written books on this site. It’s too descriptive in the earlier chapters, but it seems as though the author has acknowledged and fixed the problem.
Honestly it’s too early to review with only 20 chapters, but I thought that the average review is too low compared to other novels that are trash compared to this. It’s not the best I’ve read, not even close but it has potential. Lots of it. I’d like to see how it shapes up, the book is still in the first arc and it could go in many different directions, but it seems as though the author has made a plot line, and everything has been pretty well constructed so far.
One tiny plot hole: if demonic cultivators are patrolling a section and they get killed, the stronger cultivators will come to patrol the area. The wise old man did not even mention that as a possibility, it seemed like the author just wanted an excuse to give an example of the current strength of the mc.

The dry professor humor is one of the story’s charms. The cat opener works. The academic bitterness works. The old-man annoyance with chaos works. Calid’s tendency to think like a scholar even when his life is collapsing is a strong tonal differentiator. The problem is that humor comes through the same prose engine as everything else, so it can become relentless. When every paragraph wants to be wry, descriptive, and emphatic, the best jokes stop standing out.

A solid opening that mixes classic archmage fantasy with a cultivation setting in a way that feels familiar but still engaging. The premise is interesting, especially the loss of mana and adaptation to Qi, though it doesn’t feel entirely groundbreaking yet. Calid is a likable and competent protagonist, and the writing has a nice balance of humor and seriousness. Some exposition runs a bit long, but it helps establish the world clearly. Overall, a good start with potential, especially if later chapters expand more on the stakes and character depth.
