Description

Carl Szoke got stuck paying off someone else debt after he died, due to someone in charge screwing up.

But they still needed someone to build and run the Fighter Tutorial Dungeon and if Carl didn't do it, he would just get stuck working some other job that no one else wanted.

So after a brief, very brief set of instructions, they left him to it.

It being getting the Dungeon ready for the ten thousand trainees waiting for their turn to go through his dungeon and unlock their class.

Only Carl does things his own way and he wants to give people as many options as the system has available.

As well as some that it doesn't.

Like limiting himself to only being in the Dungeon.

Notes:

Book one is finished, Book two will be started after I have a good go at editing Book one.

Also, the hyphens suggested by Grammarly seemed rather excessive so for the most part I'm just skipping on using them. Apologies if their lack is jarring you out of the narrative.

So far both the plot and how the world works are top tier. But honestly the main character makes the story. He is not a pushover and has a funny sense of humor, but my favorite is the little moments when he shows consideration for the other people around him. Also watching him slowly explore the world around him feels very realistic.

So going to just try to fill the space to hit the necessary word count. But great read! Started with this author’s Corpse Rider book and this one lives up to it! Honestly, I love how this author’s work feels fresh, always a fun take on a genre with hundreds of entries on this site. Would absolutely recommend.

Didn't expect to enjoy this so much but it's a really fun ride so far. I like the character writing and dialogue in general. I thought it would be like a comedic grind fic where the mc produces super rookies nonstop and everyone else is just reacting to that. But it feels like there's more to this than that.
One small thing I like is that the mc can get things wrong. Like he thought getting people as many skills as possible would help them but it actually cheats them out of some easy experience. The mc making false assumptions like that is a sign of good writing because it means the author is keeping the character separate from themselves.

This is an amazing story i hope it has a lot more there are minor spelling issues here and there that require looking at context but nothing confusing i love this story and its whole premise. Unfortunately tearing through them faster than they are coming out but thats a me issue not a poster issue they are posting regularly and i am beyond thankful it is not on hiatus or ended yet

Death as a civil service job has been done.
Death as a messed up scam has been done.
Death as messed up scam of a civil service job has been done too.
But never exactly like this........what starts out as fairly standard "get the ball rolling" mcguffin just keeps growing into a stickier and stickier situation.
They say ultimate power corrupts ultimately, but Tex just wants to do the best job he can running his tutorial....which wasn't what anyone was expecting.
The game may be rigged, but old Tex will prepare you for that too!

This story really scratch an itch. It's original, realy. Not by forming it but it's play with very commons tropes and themes yet use them originaly, constructing a nice universe full of potential.
The character are flesh out enouth without spending 5 chappers eatch,  and you do discover personnality through dialogues and actions. Show don't tell.  Thx realy.
They feel like having a personality and not being plot tool npc number 45, are relatable and without overuse of tropes, except maybe
Tired worker being sarcastic with lazy boss doing professionals malpractices to a comical level. i love it btw.
The overral score is 4.5 because i give 6 stars to the characters.
Gammar is 3 because i'm absolutely cluless about it
, all my english skills are centred about understanding the meaning leave me alone.
the story is interesting, and work well with the current pacing alterning slice-of-life and "main-quest-avancement".
BUUUUTTTT hum can be confusing at time, especially in the laters chapters, the writer seem as lost as us... can't be perfect in this world i guess, need to wait for "when me, a writer is reincarned as a hero and defeat the demon lord by the power of fan-fiction !"
So it's not perfect, to recomment it to most people it's a pleasing 3/5 stars if ya bored, but for my taste mama you it the spot

We're still early in but this is damn good. I'm enjoying the thoughtful but not prescient MC and almost everyone introduced so far has had some meat to them.
I'm definitely interested in the central mystery of the setting.  Things are definitely going to go in an interesting direction.  This is a story with something to say about the human condition for sure.

As an afterlife workplace dramedy, [ Tutorial Dungeon ] is in roughly the same genre as the short-lived cable TV series Dead Like Me, but with a LitRPG twist. Instead of a young woman turned angel of death reaping souls at the moment of death, here the MC is an old man turned dungeon operator, training up the recently posthumous as new adventurers.
There's a bit of the movie Office Space, a bit of the computer game Dungeon Keeper, some hoary old tropes, and some unexpected twists. There is still some editing to be done, but he's working on it, and the flip side is that updates are quick.
All in all, I am enjoying it so far, and can recommend it for a fun and breezy read with a bit of a dark side.

    Very great concept.
i like how the protagonist pushes the boundaries of the situation to do more and more.
the revolving door of new tutorial takers is also cool.
    the cursing substitution was bad.
Some of the puns aren’t that funny.
There are a lot of spelling errors or spots where the wrong word is used, but that can all be ironed out later, so I don’t mind, for now.
The final chapters were rushed, the writing is very error filled. The plot points are not brought to a good conclusion for the end of book one.
