This is a refreshingly unique spin on the typical isekai fantasy trope. While the MC using his past life knowledge of veterinary medicine as a foundation in his new world follows the norm for the genre, the story-driven application of said knowledge is a kind of magical bioengineering.
While progression happens and System mechanics are a normalized part of society, the focus is on the story, not the leveling. It is seamlessly interwoven with a compelling fantasy setting rife with politics, war, and religion. It's been a wonderful ride so far, give this one a try.

Fizzicks has branched out from writing fanfiction to writing his own original story and I love it. The world has barely opened up and already there are so many subcultures and faction politicking that the world feels incredibly alive. The litrpg itself is fairly unobtrusive and serves more of a in the background progression role than a "here's a bunch of numbers" story. Each member of the cast feels great but so far the cast has been relatively limited in terms of who we see often. The main character being a (class and power stuff)
cultist for the god of flesh and transformations makes for a very unique powerset that could add infinite complexity with the only limit being what the author can think up. The way its used so far to mimic magical monster abilities is very cool and just the start.

Honestly a worthwhile read. Great writing, dialog, and world building. The combat scenes flow very well and coupled with the slower paced, but interesting cult building make a fun story! I know the author worries about set up chapters, but I seriously appreciate the depth it gives the story. Keep up the good work!

BLUF: If you like stories such as A Nerubian's Journey (same author), Industrial Strength Magic (by Macronomicon), 100th Run (by Flossindune), and Super Supportive (by Sleyca), you'll probably like this one as well.
Still early in the series (though up-to-date as of the posting of this review), but I can safely say that I think I am going to really enjoy this story. Only at chapter eight and already I feel like the world is more fleshed out and the character's more dimensional than many of the stories I've read on the site. Though I can't say that I am too surprised given some of the author's previous works (A Nerubian's Journey, seriously worth checking out). Author is surprisingly adept at writing multiple POV's, compelling social interactions (no lone MCs talking to themselves for hundreds of chapters), and still maintaining a solid plot.
LitRPG elements at the moment are actually pretty light (pun intended), with the system sections quite concise and numerically conservative. A slight twist on the genre, there is history of the setting which occurred pre-system which people have not yet forgotten about entirely due to the passage of time. The arrival of said system in fact caused a lot of upheaval, whose ripples are still felt in the present day with "Anti-System" factions and ruling classes that quickly came to exist post-system.
My one, minor complaint is that very rarely there are grammatical errors (words a bit out of place in a sentence structure mostly). That being said, I too know the sting of betrayal from the Auto-Correct function so I can't rightly hold it against them.

I came across this novel by chance and that is one of the best things i have done in past few months... Mc is great, I like the world building and lore it is providing. I was pretty sceptical due to the novel name but it proved me wrong and I will say this is a excellent novel.
Just 1 negative point is that it has slow chapter updates which I don't like at all

The story kinda reminds me of "Priest of Corruption" but the world-building definitely feels like its a step up from that. Even tho the rpg system is quite commonly seen in novels it still feels fresh because of the focus on politics and world building by the author.
Characters: The characters are all described very well and continue to stay consistent to how you would expect them to act from past interactions. Many of them seem to have their own secrets and motivations which I am sure will be explored later on in the story. MC is very competent and kind-hearted but at the same time isn't just selfless, placing his own growth as a top priority but still helping people when he can (which is very good to gain followers since the mc is also a cult leader 😜).
World Building: The world building is already really good and there are a lot of references to stuff outside the MCs knowledge that is mentioned that will probably only be explained much later in the story. So far it feels incredibly well thought out but the lack of spoon feeding complete information will leave you with questions that won't be answered until much further in the story.
Power System: The power system has the pretty standard rpg format of classes and professions but clearly has a lot of extra thought that went into it as well so that it isn't just a copy paste from games. The Power system gets fleshed out really well and really fast, giving readers atleast a basic idea of how the powers work and what you can expect from them in this fantasy world.
Grammar: Grammar is excellent with rare typos that get quickly fixed.
Writing: Writing is very clear and there is no useless exposition that makes you want to skim through the paras. It is well-crafted and descriptive enough such that you can imagine the scenes as you are reading along.
It's still really early so the only thing I can fault is probably the lack of illustrations but hopefully the author can remedy that by commissioning illustrations or making

An exciting read so far! I really like the worldbuilding, and the main character’s development both power wise and as a person are keeping me invested. I like the way the social interactions are written too, hopefully more interesting characters will come into the picture soon. Keep up the good work!

The story follow a cultist trying to level up by using skills bestowed by his god, or a faster route, by obtaining new followers. So far, the story is as simple as this, in addition to explaining MC past relations.
Having said that, the author is good at making side characters interesting, injecting small actions here and there to spice things up, and decent worldbuilding though i cant really say that since only a few chapters are out. The only decently painted area is "The Slum". And I dont think it's explored enough as it is. The city needs work too.
However, even if the worldbuilding isnt the focus of the story. This has been a wonderful novel and i cant wait for more. The author knows what he's doing, and he's good at it. Recommended!! 5 stars!!

This is a work that feels like the 'isekai' tag is there for search optimisation, in a good way. It has that 'outsider in a fantasy world feeling', but it starts long after the character has acclimatized, it all has solid in-universe justification, and could reasonably cut the insert sections to just leave a motivated kid from the slums who learned to read somewhere.
Thus far this is a more interesting setting and plot than the last couple of pulbished fantasy novels I've picked up, and the writing seems to hold up to that standard as well.
If this quality continues throughout without anything else exceptional, it'll show up as a decent fantasy novel. If the author strings together the elements they have already included well, then it'll be a really good one. The setting and conflicts all feel fleshed out and solid, though the world still needs some more time to create 'rough edges' that make it feel lived in.
Once its all written and goes through a decent editing and rewrite, I could see it being a bestseller. But its still early days yet, and that is a long road between here and there.
