- LiteraryWhoRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0To start, the writing is funny, and irreverent. It delivers on it's promise of poking fun at its own genre, so far mosly in the form of the "system" and the MC effectively bantering with each other. The MC himself is charming, in his own way. He's kind of an ass, but not unkind, just very self absorbed.
It hasn't gotten very far plot wise (I'm writing this review at page 44), so there are still a lot of unknowns with regard to if it will be worth reading. So far it feels dangerously close to "generic isekai power fantasy" (which if you're into that kind of thing, then this may very well be perfect for you, as the writing is of excellent quality), but also has hints that it may prove to be more than that.
In any case, it has a great sense of playfulness, so if you're looking for something fun, then this is worth it. I'll probably refrain from keeping up, but that's more to do with a preference for completed works, than any statement on its quality. I am planning on putting it in my "read later" pile, and will pick it up if if finishes within a reasonable number of pages.
