From what I've read so far A Song Through Time is a exemplar piece of the regression novel sub genre.
The protagonist is an old man with wasted talent that regresses from 135 to 12 to fulfil his true potential and save the world from the threat of demons at the same time.
There are no issues with the grammar and the writing is superb.

This is a story about a genius mage who failed to live up to his talent due to lost chances. He gets to regress from 135 year old to 12 and change his fate. Due to his vast talents he will not be following in just one path. Despite how this would make any MC too OP, the storyline so far doesn’t seem like he will suddenly be able to kill gods by age of 20. Time is needed even with extreme talent and doing it too fast will have consequences. Enemies are not just canonfodder, they will need both brain and brawn to kill. (or connections 😜). The style does get a tiny bit confusing due to some PoV shifts and repetition due to those shifts, But otherwise its very clear, while also easy to read and comprehend. Story so far is great, world building seems its going be deep. Haven’t found much issues with grammar. Love the characters, despite being 100 years old, Its clear that going back to your teenage body will have some issues while not big enough to make giant mistakes, But temper tantrums are going to be a thing.
Overall its a great book, Definitely give it a try if you like MC having more than one power line, and using his brain just as much as his brawn.

The story isn't perfect, the writing could definitely improve, and like most stories here, it is filled with expositions. However, for a new writer, it's good and the writing did somewhat improve as the story progress.
Like all regression stories, it doesn't bring anything novel to the genre, but the plot and pacing are done right and I have no complain. The flashbacks could be done better, but compared to a whole lot of others in this genre, this is surprisingly decent. Give it a go and at least read through the first 10 chapters before judging.
A side note would be that the first few chapters could definitely use some heavy edits/rewrites. But I did enjoy the story and can't wait for the new chapter.
P.s., Author sir, don't let the horrible reviewers demotivate you :)

Mega-mind MC endlessly pulling unprecedented tricks on his enemies.
OK. Fair deal, I didn't read far into the novel. But the things I read make me expect some absurd wish fulfilment.
The protagonist is the most clever strategist, the best swordsman, the genius of the generation in magical research and everybody is so impressed with him, oh so impressed they can't stop gushing compliments. Naturally, only evil demon-collaborators would be his haters and his only character flaw is his brutal honesty.
And all that is BEFORE he regressed to try again with his knowledge of all future secrets.
    Yaaaaawn.

The basic premises are quite interesting; nothing truly original but a classic example of the regression theme.
I liked the beginnings of the magic system.
The main problem is the writing: dialogue is stunted, repetitive, non realistic and the sentence structure is often weird and confused. formatting is also strange.
The second problem is the fact that the MC is heralded as a certified genius in several topic (magic, swordmanship etc etc), and yet he commits (by his own admission) several mistakes in a simple evasion plan agains stupid goons. With the premises of such high intellingence i think readers (such as myself) are less likely to forgive such inconsistencies.
i'd suggest to rewrite it 'cause it really needs more work.

Chapter zero summarizes the first timeline plot.  Then chapter one resummarizes that same plot before starting to run us through it in detail.
MC walks into a room of the most powerful people in the world and they all spend a few pages taking turns gassing him up and talking about how perfect he is.
The writing is also just clunky and off-putting.

A Song Through Time has been in Rising Stars for a long time and the good score on the statistics is usually reflected in a well-written and great story. I do admit I'm a sucker for the numbers on ratings and debate pretty long on whether I want to read new books, often keeping them in my reading list for a bit and watching how the statistics and reviews turn out over time. When I finally started this, it still had really good stats with everything above 4.5 (which has dropped a bit in the last few days/weeks with other negative reviews). When I finally do start a story, I rarely drop it if the author is active, even if the quality gets a bit worse over time. I had to drop this at chapter 5 though.
As others have already pointed out, the setting in the initial chapters is already weird and off-putting. The actions of the MC do not reflect his supposed intelligence and reputation as an absolute mastermind of humankind. The dialogue and behavior of the other characters, though, is what made me quit so early. I do not understand the high ratings and I also cannot force myself to continue with the story as it is written as of right now. What I've read mirrors Webnovel stories that are 100% wish fulfillment and consist of endless MC glorification, yet stay high in the rankings with an average rating of something like 3,6 since many readers like stories such as these and can turn off their brains to enjoy them despite everything else.

This story is literally a joke, the first two chapters are just repeating the same things without adding anything into it, and everyone is sucking up to the MC even though he is weak and everyone else can literally swat him like a fly, not really interested in seeing how arrogant and self-absorbed he is going to act when he regresses, everyone is acting like he is God's gift to the world when he is just a little smart apparently. And it is a lot of telling instead of showing, what has the MC done that was so world shattering? I guess I'll never know. Overall, this story gives regression novels a bad rep.
