The Way of The Silver Seatells the story of Daniel, a well-to-do city worker who found his life on a trajectory. Following the attack at the venue, he had awakened his newfound abnormal amounts of qi within his body, likely correlated to his discovery that blue blood came from his wound. Afterward, one of his closest friends had passed away from an unexpected homicide that could also tie to the venue. While figuring out how to deal with a tragic event, his newfound capabilities attracted the attention of individuals from the other world. Now he has two scenarios to fulfill, find the ones responsible related to the venue attack and his closest friend's death, and set on a journey to the other world.

Alright - that sums it up really. There is nothing I find exceptional or egregious. I did come out with an overall positive view of the whole thing. The style is pronounced, the story is there, the grammar is not the easiest to decipher, and the characters seem flat. Understand that I do not intend to offend the author but I did find it very difficult to read through.
Style - The author has a somewhat unique style. Events come thick and fast which I usually find appealing, however the phraseology can make it quite hard to follow and I found myself lost a couple of times.
Story - The story seems to be exactly as the synopsis described - someone who works in an office setting, getting powers, and learning to cope with that.
Grammar - I don't know this to be the case, but it feels as if this was written in one language and translated into english. There are a number of examples:
"Her tears poured out of her eyelids, wetting her cheeks" -- Chapter 1. Tears come from tear ducts and not eyelids.
The constant reference to one of the characters as "Mother Elaine" -- Chapter 2, even though she is not a nun but rather the mother of Ava - a character who died after the first chapter (I think) - this feels like a turn of phrase more common to the asian languages than the english. Where they call their neighbours aunt and uncle.
3."With thirty minutes till his end of shift, he was ready to announce it." -- Chapter 3 another example of a very different way of speaking: I might say - "With thirty minutes till his shift ended..."
There were very few spelling mistakes to the author's credit. There were however, a number of times when the tense changed without good reason, or the POV (from he to we.)
Character - I struggled to identify with any of the characters, once I had deciphered what was trying to be said. That said, I only read the first three chapters and it's normal to build up a character over time, having more action towards the beginning.
In conclusion; if you are a fan

It could be a good read if it wasn't filled with unnecessary words that make it so that you have to decipher what is being said. The author makes it unnecessarily complicated. If it was reworked a bit (a lot) it could be a pretty good book. As it is now, I can't get past the second chapter.
