The students of Kamaaldor's Academy are the highest echelon of scholar in the world, but even the best of the best have a middle of the pack.

After an event that shifted the paradigm of magic in its entirety, one of those middling scholars is chosen to go on a journey with a scrapped together team to discover what really happened and possibly prove the grand unified theories true.

Against the wishes of the council but with the blessing of the Dean, Ingrid must shoulder the responsibility of maintaining the future of magic in the face of uncertainty.

A journey to the fabled telescope in the sky, towards the Impetuous Crest.

The truth prevails, no matter how ugly it is.
