In a world of forgotten magic, how will a bird-turned-human and her "familiar" rediscover the lost arts?

Kaara is a witch, or at least she has to be. She was once a raven, until one day she mysteriously was turned into a human and if she wants to go back to her peaceful life as one of the smartest birds in the land, then she'll need to learn the rules of magic.

With her slowly-growing group of curious misfits such as her young "familiar", Merle and the ever-loyal sellsword, Filigann, they'll solve the world's problems and bring about a new age of witchcraft! ... or at the very least figure out how to turn a lady back into a bird...

What to Expect:

Slow Burn Progression Fantasy!- While the story focuses on the day-to-day moments, there will be an overarching plot that will slowly ramp up over time! Be patient and enjoy the little things in the meantime <3

Puzzle-of-the-Week!- A lot of what drives the story will be our main characters solving various problems with the little they know about magic, meaning we're all learning together! Magic in this world is only being rediscovered now, so how that all works will be revealed as we go!

Weird Writing!- If Terry Pratchett taught me anything, it's to write whatever words feel right! Be prepared for a lot of silly interjections and strangely distinct descriptions!

Relationships!- Another big focus is on how the characters interact and grow with each other! While this is mostly platonic, there may be a bit of romance sprinkled in there later in the story~ I wouldn't expect anything major too quickly though! If you're looking for found family though, then I've got just the thing!

My inspirations come from other slow-burn stories, fantasies, and mysteries, as well as D&D! For a few examples: The Apothecary Diaries, Dungeon Meshi, Discworld, etc.
