Description

For someone wanting to commit suicide, waking up half a day later in the morgue was not on the agenda for Roy's last day on earth. Developing a craving for blood was likewise not on that list. However, becoming a rare type of vampire that could walk in the sun... that at least gives some hope for a better future. Letting Roy die and becoming Jacik might be the best path forward to starting a new life, or unlife, as long as he can survive holy fanatics, Djinns, and powerful Nephilims.

One of the best vampire portal fantasy novels I've ever read on this site, this book has no dull moments, world building is superb, character is awesomely crafted, no bad reviews, recommend greatly for reading. Only problem I have with this book is the rate of chapter upload. One of the best on here, best best best

Technically, I'm pretty sure this counts as an isekai with all the world-jumping that happens! Whoo boy, let's pick a score to score first.
First and foremost: Grammar! Bad grammar can murder a story, but this story doesn't have that problem. I've seen no issues and there's nothing to comment on - WHICH IS GOOD!!! - so I'd say it's a 5/5 in regards to that.
Secondly: Style! These books - well, one and two - both use first person most of the time, and it's done well! When we need another character's POV to really understand how EPIC it is, we get it! I've got no problems with it and that's saying a lot when I usually only read third person stories. This is a nice nudge out of my comfort zone, and I highly recommend!
The characters, oh man the characters. Despite how there's certainly a lot, most if not all of them make sense with their goals, desires, and aspirations. I won't give this a 'truly' perfect score due to how I feel that - ON VERY, VERY RARE OCCASIONS - the characters don't act exactly realistic, that's me just being nit-picky.
The Story Is Golden. I don't think there's anything I could say that makes it clear how much this story rings every 'good' bell in my head. Book one was good, but when book two came in after stealing the things I like from my mind, I've gotta say that it was amazing.
This isn't everyone's cup of tea - Mind the genres! - but it was certainly mine. I plan to stick around this place for a while longer, if things go as well as they did here. Book two is my favorite at the moment, but I can't wait to see what book three will have.

Read this! The only problem with it is the lack of uploads. It is an enjoyable novel that follows a strong MC who is trying to figure out his place in the hidden world of vampires and magic.

Great story... No BS or waste of time. Hope to see where it leads and looking forward to it. There are few great vampire stories on RRl, hope this becomes one... Hopefully, he doesn't become callous, excessively indifferent and the like. This story combines a wide variety of mythological fantasy and supernatural creatures in the perfect urban setting, so It gets u hooked and there's nothing better than a vampire with actual magic. I also hope the protagonist is or at least becomes a little more ambitious as the journey progresses. Now this part is just because I have to make the 50 word count but it might be interesting, anyway, if u can, please change the pic, and sometimes I get whiplashed by new chapters in that it feels like I came in mid - conversation or mid-movie. Sometimes takes a while to adjust. Anyway that's it from me. Keep going strong and write for the sake of enjoying it and bringing ur dream or imagination into reality through ur words, so no hiatus yeah. Goodluck.
