A darker and grittier take on heroes and consequences.

The world is slowly awaking to the idea of super powers becoming reality. The first few super heroes/vigilantes appear. A man awakes from a suicide attempt unable to die. Wandering the city without purpose, he begins the journey of the reluctant hero. Others follow suit as superhuman abilities begin cropping up around the world. New York as its center. Cal and his friends try to catch their breath between new villains and drama emerging around every corner. A race for power is beginning, humanity is evolving, and the question of why remains, whether intentional or not.

New chapters every Friday and Saturday.

A classic, great take on super heroes and consequences. Steering away from stereotypes and genre tropes. Reminds me of Invincible and Daredevil. Gritty and darker takes on what it means and what you have to let yourself become to be a hero. Slow pacing for chapters 2-3 though. Gets exponentially better after.
