Description

Luke possesses the skill of psychic reinforcement, turning him into a superhuman. But when a powerful clandestine organization, 'The Lab', coerces him into their ranks, he realizes his abilities are more of a cage than a blessing. He must grow stronger to break their hold, but time is of the essence. The atrocities he endures gradually alter him. Can he escape before he loses himself in the process?

- This is a slow burn, a lot might seem confusing at first. I give information bit by bit.

- The story is focused on Luke, a quiet guy that acquired a power that puts him in a bad situation.Engaging in battles he never wanted to participate in.

- There are people with ‘super powers’ in this world.

- Luke is around level 3 on a scale from 1 to 5, at the start of the story.

- I put the gore tag but there is not much gore at all.

It's off to a really nice start. The characters are pretty solid, with reactions and goals that feel pretty realistic. I dig that.
Luke seems like the normal guy that got put in a bad spot, he has some pride and some doubts and some morbid thoughts. Makes him interesting.
Hannah also has doubts but she seems to have a brighter side. But we didn't see that much of her yet.
The story is a cool mix of thriller, mystery, and action.
I've seen more of the mystery thriller part of a of now, hope the action kicks in soon.
Its got a very original setting that goes from the well known school life, to a cemetery and ne then a bunker? I like being surprised so that's cool.
Sometimes it goes a little overboard with the descriptions and all the inner workings of the characters' minds. It can get a bit too deep and psychological, but I guess that's part of the charm. It adds that extra layer of complexity, I suppose.
What I absolutely love, though, are those little moments of philosophy scattered here and there. They just fit so nicely into the story. It's a pretty neat touch.
All in all, I really hope this story keeps up the momentum. It's got me hooked, and I'm excited to see where it goes from here.
