The Settlers of the Stars

In the future, humanity will spread out to other star systems for scientific, economic, and personal reasons.

This story is about a group that sets off for the Trappist One star system, their struggles and their triumphs.  I am trying to make it as scientifically accurate as possible, with scientifically accurate technology, so if anyone has a question or comment about the scientific accuracy in the story, please comment about it.  For example, they don't have artificial gravity or faster than light travel.  They travel at a small fraction of the speed of light (10% and 11.5% so far) using fusion for thrust and generate gravity using spinning cylinders.

I did give the people life extension and cryogenic stasis technology so that we can have modern people as characters and because I think the technology will be developed, but both of them rely on the same technology: the manipulation of stem cells.  The cloning and meat production also uses this to provide new lifeforms in the other system and food.

I tried to copy the Trappist  system as closely as I could (thanks wikipedia), filling in the blanks with what I hope was a reasonable guess.  This should help me give each world a unique feel and challenge.
