The world-building is top notch and the magic system is well developed, reminiscent of Full-Metal Alchemist and Brandon Sandersonโ€™s worlds. I love the fact that he went and investigated real world esoteric concepts. He knows a lot about history and it shows. Steampunk is also, well, just a cool concept overall, and this story being an alternate history situated in the late 19thcentury; mixing real-world geopolitics and intrigue, I LOVE IT!The character development is quite good, the author has actually developed compelling backstories for each of his characters, a lot of set-up. A lot of POVs, though. Steve is my favorite character so far, heโ€™s a good character, along with his daughter Alice. The sporadic humorous scenes are also enjoyable.I didnโ€™t notice any grammatical mistakes, and the author has an excellent knowledge of the English language, his style can even be beautiful at times. The style is not that wordy and purple, it's quite clear and concise. However, due to the in-depth character development, the books can be more of a slow-burn. It reminds me of Brandon Sanderson. The language is not too flowery, but the descriptions are vivid and effective.Overall, I'd recommend this book to any fantasy reader, especially fans of Mistborn (especially era 2) and FMA.

I've read until chapter 6 and I have say that there is a lot here. A worldbuilding which has the premise to be expanded the more one reads. There are nations, there is a huge history behind those nations. It all feels very real.
I didn't experience any fights, but the prologue gave me a vague idea on how they are, and I find them balanced between details and action. About the prologue, I also have to say that it makes me feel really thrilled, since the characters it depicts are shown in a completely different light the chapter right after it.
The style is good. It flows neatly and dialogues blend nicely with narration. Details are not intrusive, but at the same time not absent at all.
The characters are very well acted and they all clearly have interesting shades. The only issue I have is with Alice. She feels very premature for being 12 years old, but this "issue" may be explained in a better way as the story unravels. The rest of the characters are fine, even if they're all introduced very fast but still in a considerate way.
Overall, this is a very colorful and promising novel.

Dieselpunk world, magic and Kaijus? How do those things go together? Perfectly, that's how.
    *Grammar*
It's solid. The prose is enthralling, the author obviously has a good grasp of complex sentence structuring. Meanwhile, descriptions and the prose remain vague at times, but as opposed to taking away from the experience, it just enhances the inherent mystique at the heart of the story.
    *Story*
The story starts with a compelling hook, immediately drawing the reader into a mysterious and unsettling world. I'm not far into it to tell anything about the overarching plot, but the stage is set well for it. The hints spread throughout the story never fail to expand the worldbuilding.
    *Style*
Descriptions are vivid and easily translate the oppressive atmosphere of the world. Though, some might prefer simpler prose instead as it isn't really lacking in adverbs or adjectives.
    *Characters*
Characters are well-fleshed out and their emotions are explored in detail. Even the side characters appear intriguing and only add to the gravitating main characters who are taking the front stage.
    *Overall*
Very nice. I can only recommend it to anyone.
My hopes are high and the coming chapters are hopefully only going to make it better.

    ๐ŸŒŸ Overall:
Lucian T. Einar's "Keres: The Unseen City" takes readers on a captivating journey through an alternate 1897, blending history, magic, and a diverse cast of characters that immediately pulls you into its spell.
    ๐Ÿ–‹๏ธ Style:
Einar's storytelling style is not just thrilling; it's immersive, it feels like reading a manga or watching an anime. The vibrant dialogue and the intriguing post-chapter character bios add layers to the narrative, creating a dynamic reading experience. Adding illustrations is also a great touch.
    ๐Ÿ“ Grammar:
The grammar is not just clean but captivating, allowing the prose to flow smoothly. Despite the complexity of the plot, Einar keeps the reader engaged and the storyline easy to follow. There might need some improvement regarding POVs, but itโ€™s a great read regardless.
    ๐Ÿ“– Story:
The narrative puts together politics, magic, and kaiju battles, revealing mysteries after mysteries with each chapter and ensuring that readers remain on the edge of their seats. It's a harmonious blend that keeps the story dynamic and unpredictable.
    ๐Ÿ‘พ Characters:
The characters in "Keres" are not merely players in the plot; they are a vital force, each contributing a unique flavor to the journey. From the mischievous Alice and Steve to the enigmatic Habondia or even Zak. The character development is on steroids, making them unforgettable.
    ๐Ÿš€ In Short:
In short, "Keres" is more than a fantastic story; it's a must-read! Lucian has crafted mind-bending plots, kick-butt characters, and historical fantasy seamlessly. This demands attention and acclaim! ๐ŸŒŒ

    I'm suprised of this discovering!
Lucien created an unique world inspired in books of series of their childhood but also in modern history.
The idea to change the history is only possible in writting. The events that happened 200 years ago define our present but Lucien prefers to be radical and he offered us an uchrony.
A dieselpunk world when events of the mid of 1800's are not the same and created new rules. Alice is a girl fighting against a corrupted world where the indusrtrial revolution and magic is just for a few people.
Keres might be an heptology if Lucien wants and I think this saga has all the wood for build a solid universe. This is just the begenning and there will be one more Keres for us and I'm 100% sure that these books will be phisycal in our hands soon!
    Congrants Lucien!

I have only read chapters 0-8 as I am writing this but so far, consider me thoroughly impressed. The writing style consistently does well giving just enough detail. Many stories I've read, and even some I have written, can have so little detail that the reader can't conjure the intended image or so much that it may as well be a chapter all its own. I can safely say that I have yet to encounter this in this story
The early chapters are very dialogue heavy, yet it's not done to make up for ย a lack of progress. Whether its for world building or developing character dynamics, not a single word is wasted. Speaking or world building and character dynamics, both are fantastic. The setting is familiar enough to where you can get the basics quickly but different enough to encourage the reader to learn more. The characters are also very expressive and full of life, making them instantly recognizable just off the way they speak. This is important as aย lotย of characters are introduced early on
Alice and Steve are probably the most real father/child dynamic I've seen in a while. The way Steve behaves like a total goof when it comes to his daughter is beyond endearing and the moments between the two always feel so genuine which has me concerned for what happened, given the events of Chapter 0.
Overall, The Saga of Keres has a lot of genuine care and effort put into it with two amazing leads, a world that has me fiending to learn more and a hook that will have me looking for answers. Of all the books on this platform, this one I look forward to reading front to back

Note: This review is part of a review swap. At the time of posting it, I have read 24 chapters of Book 1: The Unseen City.Overall: ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸA deep dive into an alternate historical timeline that weaves steampunk science and magic (or should I say science versus magic) into a world with a lot of political intrigue! It's clear to me that the author has put a lot of time and effort into worldbuilding, historical lore, and their characters. I will say this is not a light/mindless read; you'll need to pay attention to the plot as it progresses, otherwise you might miss something that starts off innocuous but is quite important later.Story: ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸThe story is fast-paced, and multiple locations and subplots are intertwined with a high-stakes global event. I also appreciated the chapter on thaumaturgy basics through Alice's eyes to better acquaint her (I really mean me) with the logic behind the lore of the story.Style: ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸThe style is built with flow and readability in mind. Note that because of multiple lead characters, there are multiple points of view to consider, and you might be left with a cliffhanger that isn't immediately satisfied when you click Next Chapter. I appreciate the layers this results in.Grammar: ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸThe grammar is polished. I did not see any grammatical errors in the chapters reviewed, but I do read for pleasure and not to find fault or typos.Characters: ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸThe author clearly points out this story has multiple lead characters, which are introduced in the first few chapters. These characters do have something to attend to rather pressingly, so it makes sense to gather them and put them on display for the reader sooner rather than later. I enjoyed the character interactions, feeling that some of their intentions and motivations aren't yet entirely clear, which makes for a good story long-term.

Just as the title said. This story had a lot of amazing world building and many three dimensional characters that gave life to the story. I can't even imagine how much time the author spent thinking about the story before writing it. It's truly a piece of its own.
Style: so far the story was slow burn as the author took his time to set up the world and characters which usually bore me as I have a low attention span if there were no immediate actions, but the author managed to grip my interest because he's writing style. The prose were solid and the description were vivid.
Story: The story seems to encompass a large world in late 1800s with complex politics andย  magic system. I haven't read much of the story to review much in this category, but so far the author managed to grip my interest by the little mystery he reveal from now and then.
Characters: I think this is the strong point of the story as the author introduced many well crafted characters with a personality of their own.
Grammar: These might be few mistakes that I didn't spot, but nothing jarring. The author clearly spent his time editing the chapters before posting them. So, it won't break reading immersion.

What starts out as a relatively straightforward story quickly evolves into an unpredictable and multi-layered tale spanning several characters, each with their own motivation and desires, which propels and pulls the narrative in many directions all at once.
It's a tale that also takes place in a meticulously thought out world; it's intricate andย magical, to the point of constantly keeping you wondering what's going to happen next.
The characters are all unique and fun to root for, each in their own way... especially the main duo.
Keres: The Unseen City is ultimately a mystery, in my eyes. It blends several genres and points of inspiration and in it Lucian has crafted something truly marvelous.
If I had to say anything negative about it (and it's more on me than them): it's that it can get a bit messy or hard to follow along, what with all the different viewpoints and all the information thrown at you. But that's part of the fun as well: following along and paying attention to every minute detail.
I can't wait to see how else this story unfolds!

I got up to chapter 8 on this one, and the beginning chapter numbering was a little weird and threw me off at 1.5 and zero. But it evens out further in so I can feel like I'm making progress better lol. But I love the art!Style: The description is incredible! This guy's vocabulary is top tier! I have even came back and forth learning from this guy's writing! I love it and no complaints there.Story: The story is really cool and definitely a page turner! There's small hints of lore here and there but I feel like it could reveal just a little more to get the story moving along a bit better and then end with some cliffhangers.Grammar: No complaints here, I didn't see anything that needed to be corrected nor I am I too picky about one little typo either. There is none!Character: I gotta admit, this is mainly my disappointment because I had to force myself through more and more chapters to be able to pick out my waifu! And all there were was husbandos in the beginning. And I am a waifu fanatic! ๐Ÿคฃ So if you like husbandos, you're in luck! In all seriousness though, the personalities are pretty good. There was some personality conflicts I might say, like I don't know how a genius can be lazy and tired all the time, especially at a young age, but it can be possible with more explanation. I would just advise to be aware of personality conflicts and be careful.Overall: There is a lot going on and is sometimes hard to understand what's really going on, mainly because of multiple characters and POVs.But this story has potential! If you're a fan of anything industrial mixed with fantasy which is a rare combination, you'll love this! No story is perfect so definitely give this a shot! Despite some minor details, this is really cool! I enjoyed this so far, with cute character stories, a unique idea, and this is seriously action packed! Very good job!
