The Realms: Worlds Apart

Terra is a dark world, separated from the rest of The Realms by its location in the universe, not near enough to any of the Conduits for anyone to Awaken, doomed to resort to technology alone to claw their way to the stars and somehow deal with the immense distances that space travel include.

Until the Traveler, one of the earliest awakened, opened a Way to Terra during his doomed wanderings.  The Way, once opened, flooded Terra with a wave of Shine, causing some to awaken, but also exposing the world to the horde that follows him, eager to take advantage of unsuspecting worlds and their resources.

I write this for fun.  I will tend to update in 5-10 chapter arcs with long breaks between them.I am working on rewriting the original pass of this and will be updating them.  Them is to fix the vast quantity of errors within the story and also to better write the story with slightly more planning than whatever flowed out of my head that day.  Updated chapters will be flagged.
