- ZachNovaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Off the bat, we start with a pretty funny scene that I could totally see happening in KonoSuba. I'm looking forward to this interesting mix of both xianxia and litrpg, on top of the 'show' aspect that makes me think of Hunger Games. Not very far in, so I'll update when I either catch up or something changes and cements how I feel about it, but I was a fan of the authors other story, so I have high hopes.
- Blank_DesuRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like the unique concept of mixing xianxia + Litrpg, especially because there are other types of worlds, which is very interesting.
So far the MC is struggling pretty hard but that's to be expected, I like the fact that the Author stuck with the whole weak-to-strong thing from the get-go instead of giving him an easy way out for some face slapping fun like most xianxia's I feel like it will make his W's feel a lot more earned especially with the Amount of L's he's been taking.
Looking forward to more from this story and your others Author! - BlushugruRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.016 chapters in so far and the MC is turning out to be quite endearing and interesting. A weak to strong story where the MC will have to truly work for everything he gains. A very vibrant and colorful world that I can't wait to see how deeply it's explored. Give it a read and enjoy the ride.
- FabioKunRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Those three words encapsulate this book pretty well. Chapter 1 hooked me right in and I could barely stop reading, then I went back to check it again. Overall, very solid book with funny and intriguing characters, and so is the premise. I highly recommend reading this if you're a fan of the genre(s)!
- J. S. BoydRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Pleasantly surprised to find a story mixing elements of Xianxia cultivation with LitRPG in a novel way. Realm's Champion delivers with an interesting system and worldbuilding that takes its time and doesn't spoonfeed you. This is a welcome change - Xianxia suffer often from large exposition chunks as early as chapter one. This review is non-spoilery so all I'll say is if you're looking for an interesting system integration story this is one you shouldn't pass up.
Also - look at that awesome cover. It gives Shadow of the Colossus vibes, and those are vibes we can all get behind. - RejectHumanityRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel is quite interesting in its premise, a sort of mix between some light DCC elements inserted into a wider Xianxia world. At the beginning, the premise if that of a regular reincarnation into a xianxia MC, but soon we get introduced to the 'tv show' elements we all know and love. There are differences, of course, and DCC is only an inspiration for this novel, which is in no way a copy. The plot is original, and I like how the game aspects, from the demon representative to the rankings, give the MC a reason to act with urgency. It's a good plot device, and the ramifications are interesting.
Other than that, it's a well written novel with good grammar, good prose and interesting characters in it. Recommended! - AvidReader2425Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Currently, on chapter 5 of the story, and I definitely have to say that it is a rather intriguing concept. The character has to take his new start at life and make sure he lives an interesting journey for those that will view his edited life in a TV style Manor for popularity. This Will undoubtedly give him various benefits in the future, at least, depending upon his level of popularity, and whether or not his journey pushes people to support him.
I will say that due to the lack of quick memory integration into this new world, the story has a bit of a dazed and confused feeling. His past at being hospital bed bound is certainly something that tugs on the heartstrings, but there doesn’t seem to be an off time at the start for him to process things with this new life. He is under out of the carried by the momentum of the various happenings that occur around him, without having much of a chance to take charge himself. This is understandable due to the lack of integrated memories but I do think it takes a bit of autonomy away from him.
although I will say that the story isn’t necessarily my cup of tea. Overall, I do think they build a foundation that many people might enjoy, especially as the story progresses even further. It brings up some interesting concepts that I myself haven’t come across before, especially integrated into a cultivation style world, with a demonic sect starting point. It’s well written, the character, same well rounded, and a very enjoyable writing style, so I would suggest at least give the first five or 10 chapters a try to see if you might enjoy the read. - PhantoxicRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Contrary to most cultivation novels that I've looked into, TRC is unique not only in the sense of plot (as the story blends the theme of Constellation sponsorship with standard xianxia), but also in the sense of story development. Whereas most novels start with a promising and novel concept that rapidly falls apart when the writer makes it past the first chapter, TRC started incredibly weak with a smutty introduction that has ultimately transitioned into strong dialogue, fleshed-out characters, and a well-established plot that draws the reader in for more.
honestly speaking I was genuinely about to drop the novel at chapter 3 and leave a shitty review before the following few chapters hooked me back in - SholockRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Realm's Champion ventures into uncharted territory, seamlessly blending the captivating allure of Xianxia cultivation with the immersive mechanics of LitRPG. In a genre often plagued by cumbersome exposition, this novel stands out for its deliberate pacing, allowing readers to organically immerse themselves in the intricacies of its world without feeling overwhelmed by information overload.
The integration of a compelling system is a testament to the author's skill in crafting a narrative that both captivates and challenges its audience. Rather than relying on spoon-feeding, Realm's Champion trusts its readers, resulting in a rewarding reading experience.
One of the novel's most noteworthy strengths lies in its commitment to character development, particularly in the protagonist's journey from weakness to strength. the author opts for a narrative arc that feels earned, punctuated by the protagonist's struggles and triumphs in equal measure.
While Realm's Champion may not be without its flaws, particularly in its initial pacing and narrative direction, its innovative premise and engaging execution make it a compelling read for fans of both Xianxia and LitRPG genres alike. Realm's Champion sets sail on a thrilling journey, inviting readers to explore a world where every twist and turn brings fresh excitement and intrigue, making it a must-read for those craving an unforgettable adventure.
