I recently read a story about a woman who claimed to be a psychopath and functional in society. I scoffed at the idea as I read that, but her explanations made sense and align with the work by this author. I found reading about this character interesting and enlightening. There are jobs where not having empathy is a very useful characteristic. What matters is having a solid set of rules to live by. That goes for everyone, but doubly so for a person which is physically incapable of feeling bad about deviating from their standards. I really like this story. If darker content isn't your thing, obviously you should skip this one. You could view the MC as the right tool for a difficult job. In that light, the actions make sense. Expecting the MC to behave like a normal person is not reasonable. I also like the fact the author ties dreams and the blending of memories into the expansion of feelings and personal growth. Very hopeful that this story will continue and that others will give this a try!

The pacing and action are really good as well. Some scenes are a bit confusing. Overall, a good novel and it really matches my taste.

The MC is described as a psychopath, the first thing that he does is sacrifice himself so that someone else can live. WTF.
Since I have to reach the word limit I'll add that the grammar is ok and the story looks interesting. Just don't advertise the MC as a psycho.
