- Frosty I. FrostRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This one is a nice fantasy genre story with solid points. The main character, Will, is a mix of human-elf-orc and he is quite rare. His mother was an Elf and her entire race was wiped out. He has a good drive and he is a badass. He is assigned to be the bodyguard of the Princess and they set out on their journey, overcoming many problems as they go on. Of course, they inevitably feel attracted to each other but the key point here is that they almost do it at some point, and the princess back out at the last second. What does Will do? He says it's okay you don't have to force yourself.
This is incredibly rare with stories such as this one and it is refreshing to see a main character that doesn't think he is entitled to everything around himself. But, the rest are pretty weak in my opinion and they need some work. The Princess also needs a little bit of work in her character since she doesn't develop that much.
The other thing I ABSOLUTELY LOVE about this one is the grammar, spelling, and punctuation. They are really well done and mostly flawless save for a couple of errors here and there but that is completely normal. One issue I have though, is that the first chapter is almost masterfully edited but the rest aren't as good as the first one, in terms of editing and paragraphs.
If all the other chapters are edited like the first one (the first chapter has great paragraph lengths and the dialogue is really easy to follow), the quality would go up significantly.
