Getting carved off a soul is traumatic. Getting snared by an extradimensional entity for unknown reasons is worse. Waking up in a new world that is suspiciously familiar to your favorite reading material as a kid is downright crazy, but there's been some big changes to canon...
Soul-Shard Vier wakes up in a Marvel Universe with no idea of what to do in the grand scheme... but it's a super-hero universe, and it's friendly to EVERYTHING you might try to do.
Time to not buy into comic book universe power stasis and start climbing the scales, and if you get to exploit some canon that's still relevant along the way, all the better, right?
---A Marvel Comic universe (not Cinematic!) style fanfiction, with some major differences.
---As a comic book universe, power-ups happen with great speed. Leveling meets Bestowed Great Power for Great Responsibility!
---It's a comic book universe, so the scale goes Way Up, and anything goes.

- liwaenahariRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've never even needed a superverse fanfic...until I read this. Bringing Marvel and DC into conflict and resolution with physics was entertaining; and interesting to see the PoT ways to finagle/consolidate the discrepancies!
Another 5* for one of my favorite contributors to RR.
Please read, please review. Certainly worth it if you've enjoyed anything by this author! - BemusedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This here is basically a Power of Ten (which is to say a litrpg designed to be about 50% various d&d rulesets and the rest "house rules" which you kind of pick up while reading these books) take on marvel fanfic.
In other words, a long, careful, deep, thoughtful build to totally overpowered and overwhelming competence which turns out to still be almost (but not quite) inadequate for the challenges the team must face.
You can see the gamer mentalities leak through the narrative, of course. But it's gamelit, not utter realism. This book also would not get your floors clean - do not expect it to be something which it's not. Still, the bits of philosophizing, singing, math geeking, d&d rulesmongering and even the negligent hand waves all somehow mostly fit with a fairly extensive trip through the marvel universe.
(And, sure, this is technically the fourth book in this series - but they're sort of organized side-by-side, so you could start here and read the others later if you like this one. They're all different-with-significant-overlap. Read what you want, ...) - Wds444Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This review is long overdue.
The Power of Ten stories have been my daily source of calm and escape for over a year now. The author is the most consistent one on RR I've seen so far, and I'm a few hundred fictions in.
The story sets in a known universe, like most prequels and this one is the Marvel universe.
The only difference? Our previous MC, Sama Rantha and her fuzzy sidekick Brigs have reincarnated here. (A few hundred years ago)
This story does not follow our previous protagonist though, and I think that's great from a variety standpoint.
We still get to enjoy the enormous empowerment of the character and many other storylines from the heroes we know. In my case that also turned out to be a large group of other Marvel storylines, some of which I've never even heard of. We're these storylines not hinging on the POT's 'System' (D&D with a twist) I'd advocate at Marvel to make this stuff canon. I think Stan Lee would have agreed and would like this entire thing, more than what Disney is doing, but I digress.
Less than in previous novels, we see statnumbers only occasionally, and I'm often hoping there will be a statsheet for a certain character.
Style gets a 4.5 for partly this reason, one other slight minus being that there might sometimes be too much to follow. (Or I might just dislike a particular storyline, ugh I could not get trough the Road bit, but it's rare. )
Characters, as briefly touched before, are largely inspired by Marvel. They are great, and you get to know how these heroes grow and learn.
Grammar-wise this story is great, likely due to the advanced chapters available on Patreon. (This author might become my first ever patreon, just to support him, and thank him for hundreds of days of enjoyment.)
All in all, solid 5/5, just a shame this story likely reaches only those that have read the first few volumes. ( The first few are heavy on the numbers side of things, lots of Strength +1 Notifications etc.) - YoyodyneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm loving the twisting of previous comics/Lore and the obvious deep knowlege of Marvel/comics that the author has. I can take or leave the D&D parts of the story. I've not read the previous books, but will go back and check them out. I'm sure I'm missing some things from not reading the other books, but it's not stopped me from rating this 5 stars.
Even the dialog reflects a deep knowlege of comics lore. - AnotherDoritoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0See title. No grammar errors, good dialogue, consistently believable characters. Easy 5 stars.
Knowledge of Marvel is not in any way required, god knows I don't have any. This book is much less math-heavy than the former ones, which brings me Great Sadness - but I can acknowledge that that's much better for new readers, especially those that don't have 90% of 3.5e memorized. It's going to be very easy to get into without reading 1/2/3 - but deeper exploration of the PoT system has not been shown so far. Again, better for the average reader, but just makes me a but sad.
Go read it, it's honestly great. Me being so obsessed with math is a personal problem. - DraconisMRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good grammer, witty dialog. Not sure if the author is jumping on the Mavel FanFic bandwagon but it is not a self inset and the story is true to the characters. Not MCU marvel but from the various comics pre-MCU with a power of 10 spin on the world.

No grammar faults from all the polices in the comments.
There's lots LOTS of characters and they're handled decently enough, the small problem for me is they all speak in the same tone and react the same way, only a few quirks from who they are make the differences, same thing for the antagonists and bad guys. At least it's consistent from start to finish.
The story is great, author knew what they're saying, Dynamo's carefree and unwillingness to be overpowered is funny as she's already competent and not making the whole thing insufferable. She did gave in and turn on God Mode but is it worth it?
Huh, I need to reach 200 words, welp, cover your ears, here come unrelated rantings. I'm looking for competent OC centric fanfics, going along with an unwilling OC who spend most of their time being surprised and confused can only go so far as 'relatable' until it becomes annoying, double points if they need some 'innocent' to be in danger to move their arses. 'Oh, I would see you do bette-' shut your mouth hole, this is a fantasy show, if I want to read some dumbasses fumbling about 'realisically', I would go find it or go back to my life and do something actually productive. - Leahcim ZanathaxRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The newest Power of Ten novel from RE Druin, and this time its about superheroes! Set in a greatly altered version of the Marvel Universe, the MC is another of the soul shards split off from Aelrynth similar to how Traveler was.
I just finished Ch.21 and its very different, so far. The MC is a good person, and their actions fall somewhere between Robin Hood and the Punisher, though the only people she's killed or stolen from have tried to either kill or psychically attack her first. She seems to have decided that all she needs to do is put herself in a situation where scum will be themselves, and she's handled all the moral justifications she needs.
I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far!
Fair warning, as with all of the Power of Ten novels, if you aren't familiar with D&D terminology there is a fairly large learning curve to understand the terminology the MC and author are using. The first few chapters have a great deal of it, though, again following RE Druin's pattern for these things, the LitRPG info dumps get smaller and happen less often as you get past those set up chapters.
Can't wait to find out more about this new world!
Edited: spelling and clarity - Marnix1wqRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Like many others, with strong push of Marvel Cinematics, i became somewhat of a fan myself. That ended with Endgame with bad hits to MCU. To have combined Marvel that i liked and P10 mechanics, i salute RED. I find myself liking every new book more than last, I'm really happy that each story is self contained and has a proper ending and does not go into infinity like many wuxias out there, and makes me come back to new books :)
