Description

Eighty per cent of D-Grades are dead within five years, and Marcus just tested F. Heir apparent to a military dynasty of a thousand years. He was groomed since childhood to be their saviour, trained in the arts of war, politics and mech combat. He was destined to reverse the sharp decline that had befallen his family. But fate had other plans. In the span of a single verdict, Marcus lost his name, his family, and every future he'd been raised to inherit. Now classified as expendable and thrown into the Federation's lowest ranks, Marcus has been given one purpose: stand on the front line and bleed long enough for the real soldiers to finish the job. No cultivation advantages. No family connections. No system-granted blessings. Just a half-functional interface that shouldn't exist, and a body the machine refused to classify. In a galaxy where power flows to those who obey the system, Marcus is about to discover what happens when you break every rule. [T̷R̸U̷E̵-̶N̷O̸O̵S̷P̸H̷E̵R̷E̸ ̵-̷ ̵P̶R̸I̵M̸E̵R̴][STATUS: INITIALISING...] WHAT TO EXPECT: -  A system where every bit of power is earned. - Mech centric Sci-fi universe. - Weak to strong. - No harem. - 5 Chapters a week. This action-packed sci-fi will keep you on the edge of your seat!Story: I love a rebellion tale, and this one kept me glued to the page. It’s high tech, and the action sequences blended with the description make the world come alive. The dystopian society grades everyone, and that defines everything about their lives. It’s wrenching to read because it’s so well written. The characters and the story carry the world building, so I didn’t get bogged down having to keep track of a zillion places or concepts. It’s all story. So well done.Character: Marcus is just awesome. Bad a**, and not gonna do just whatever everyone else tells him. Not his family. Not the system. The scene with his friends is heart-warming and at the same time, fraught with tension because you know that System grade is gonna shift everything. And it’s really gripping emotion when it does. I couldn’t stop reading what Marcus went through.Style: Unmatched prose. I was really surprised by how lyrical this futuristic story is in its writing. Vivid images make the tech seem like nature. The dialogue is sharp and natural. It really flows.Grammar: This book is very well edited.Overall: Highly recommend. It’s sci-fi at its best!

This story does a lot to expand the concepts of both cultivation and a LITRPG system. While we haven't made it to the mechs (yet, I assume) the seeds being sown have me frantically wishing the next chapter button wasn't grey. Marcus reads as an interesting viewpoint into this society, and I appreciate the author's pace of reveal. None of the elements of the world so far feel out of place, or cobbled together. No noticeable Grammer issues, not enough spelling mistakes to stop me from speed reading. That said I do have some minor quibbles with the motivations of a few side characters, but nothing that rises to the level of distraction. I think there are some points in chapters where the action and through line can become muddled, but the author also calls these out in his notes. frankly knowing is half of that battle, so hopefully they take a little more time to edit, even if I and assumingly many others would actually prefer if they somehow dumped another three dozen chapters tomorrow. Overall I expect to see this story on Rising and I wouldn't be shocked to see it grow more, Worth your time if sci-fi, military, slow burn mystery, and unique systems catch your attention. Thanks for the chapters!

Went in looking for something new and got totally sucked in. This doesn’t feel like a standard academy story. The world is harsh, the stakes are real and the grading system actually matters. I am rooting for Marcus.StoryThe grading system is a strong hook. Everything Marcus has worked for comes down to this one evaluation and the pressure from both his family and the Federation is easy to feel. The early simulation scene where he ignores the system’s recommended tactics was the moment that sold me. It’s a small detail but it immediately shows who Marcus is. The world building also unfolds naturally through the characters rather than big info dumps and there are enough hints that something bigger is going on behind the system that has me hook, line and sinker.CharactersMarcus feels real. He’s not flawless, but he’s not an edge lord either,  just someone trying to deal with expectations he didn’t ask for. I also really liked the family dynamics. Think there's way more to come here.StyleThe writing is clean and easy to follow. Chapters move quickly, action scenes are clear and it works really well for a serial format without feeling rushed.Small NitpickThe pacing occasionally jumps between scenes and some system details are still a little unclear early on. I didn’t enjoy it any less but a bit more clarity would help.OverallA really fantastic start with a great mix of military sci-fi, progression elements, and slow-burn mystery. Worth checking out if you like underdog MCs and systems that actually shape the world.TFTC’s but can we have some more please - pronto!

Great story so far that builds nicely and offers the reader a chance to engage with the world and its characters. The writing is done well and the information well researched. Feels like the start of a much larger universe and could expand quite easily. Cool premise and can’t wait to read more.

This has been an awesome read so far. Rarely does a main character feel novel and whole, Marcus is exactly that. A likable protagonist, rich world building and unique side characters.
Author truly does the story justice by following the path of "show, don't tell". No lore dumps, just letting the world reveal itself step by step. I haven't been this engaged by a story since I read Red Rising Saga. Looking forward to where it all leads.

Slow start, but it is allowing us to see the system unfold along the MC. System itself shows promising potential depth though as of now it is locked by progression threshold. Looking forward to the next chapter and all the ones after that. Interpersonal dynamics are interesting and I have hopes for the narrative development.

Okay, so one of my favorite books as a kid was Ender's Game. I loved the space-adventure, war-tactics, military school setting of that book, and this book has all of those things - but with one addition. In the Nth Awakening, there is a grading system that categorizes kids into levels of abilities, a great dystopian trope. Our hero Marcus isn't top of the ranks like Ender was. He got an F, the lowest grade possible, and this means he's going to be used as cannon-fodder, unless he can learn and level up. There's a great subplot of Marcus having a different talent than the other kids, and this is probably going to save him and get him leveling up, but there's probably also something nefarious happening in the grading system as well - or in the military system itself.Style - Good writing. Good pace. Good use of progression stats, though some of the stats are confusing or blacked out. It mirrors the confusion the main character is feeling, but perhaps can be confusing for the reader too at times. But this is a nitpick critique.Grammar - I did not notice anything obviously wrong. The sentences flow well and punctuation seems to be on point.Story - An easy five stars on the story. It's not easy to meld world-building into a fast-paced plot without lore dumping, but this author can do it.Characters - The main character is great because he makes realistic mistakes. He's not some perfect, logical creature that always does the right thing. He gets scared or prideful and acts accordingly, which is realistic to a teenaged boy. But he's also intelligent. He has enough smarts to learn from his mistakes, and the ability to hold the bigger picture in his head, so he will likely be making some moves in the future based on that. The background characters are distinct from each other, and I'm eager to see where some of these character arcs end up.Overall, I really like it and I'm following for more.

This is one of the few truly well put together mech pilot story that shows progression and struggle and the crazy part is we haven’t even gotten to the mechs yet. The story telling is amazing it show a character with everything to lose fall to depths his entire family says will be his doom and we begin to see him start to thrive. There is lit-rpg but it’s not necessarily the main focus yet it’s more like a progress guide and method of self improvement for the characters.
i highly recommend reading this all the way through and hope to see much more of this story.

Been loving this so far a very fun sci-fi progression story where progress feels earned and an MC that gets pushed to his limits makes for a very compelling read. The worst part about it so far is reaching the current chapter can’t wait to see what our author has in store!

So. this is my first time writing a review, i apologise if my points are mixed up.
I was scrolling through rising stars for new books to try out when i saw this book on the second place from the top(at the time of writing this now, its at first place)with an almost 5 star, which interested me, and fast forward, i can say that the author put in a lot of effort and care into the book, like how he thinks that the first few chapters are not the best, which he rewrote it and edited it, the book does include the points in 'what to expect' subsection, however, if anyone expect the story line to be fast, and the mc to be overpowered early in the book, well this is not your cup of tea.
